Bramble began when I lost my dog, Harry, to cancer and took a good look at the processed dry food I had been feeding him. I still had Bryn and McGruff, and began looking for a commercial pet food that reflected my values about health, sustainability and animal welfare. I was looking for a fresh food that was animal-free, but still gave them all the protein and nutrients and pleasure they need and deserve! It didn’t exist, so I hired board-certified vet nutritionists to create it. And we did! 💫

We are so thrilled to share the results of our groundbreaking feeding trial. For the first time ever, the digestibility of vegan dog food was tested alongside a leading, premium chicken diet. The peer-reviewed results have been published in the Journal of Animal Science.

The extraordinary results showed that Bramble's protein was just as digestible as the chicken diet, and Bramble's fat was even more digestible. What is more, dogs fed Bramble had lower cholesterol and triglycerides, making Bramble a heart-healthy, beneficial diet especially for overweight dogs. Finally, dogs fed Bramble demonstrated a healthier microbiome.
