Staffed 100% through the efforts and donations of volunteers, we find homes for animals that other shelters and people have given up on. Through the kindness of various boarding kennels and foster families, rescued animals are cared for until they find that final family to love them. Rescue Ridge began by rescuing healthy, beautiful, animals that were slated to be euthanized through no fault of th

eir own. We felt it was unfair, that because their 'humans' had no more use for them, their days were numbered. We have tried to give each and every one of these companions a new lease on life. We rescued dogs, cats, horses and any other animal that we were able to help with our limited resources. And since we have limited space, we are always searching for those willing to help foster these wonderful creatures. We are always happy to provide information on options available to anyone needing to re-home their pet for whatever reason. It is our belief that education regarding pet ownership and its responsibilities is the best hope these companions have. GUMBO IS AN AMAZING PUP! Did you get a chance to meet him yesterday at the Freehold Day? He worked the crowd and gave lots of hugs and kisses. Won't you please open your heart and home to Gumbo at rescueridge.com
He is a young (1-2 year old) pittie mix with the softest fur and sweetest eyes. Gumbo is so friendly and affectionate, and he gives the absolute best hugs! Gumbo has a zest for life, and kennel life is really getting him down. He loves to go for walks and play with toys, but in his run, he sits sadly in the corner. Gumbo’s favorite days are the ones he gets to spend out with our volunteers walking or hiking. He walks beautifully on a leash and would make a great companion for someone with an active lifestyle. His perfect home would have a fenced yard where he could play til his heart’s content! Gumbo is quite literally bursting with love and wants to share it with you! Meet Tinx & Binx – A Tabby Two-Pack of Sweetness!
🤎 9–11 months old | Brown Tabbies | FIV+ & FeLV-

Tinx and Binx are a gentle bonded pair of brown tabbies with big hearts and soft paws. Tinx is light brown. These two aren’t fans of being picked up, but don’t let that fool you—they love to be near you. Whether they’re hopping up on the couch to hang out or strolling across your lap like it’s a personal runway, they find sweet little ways to say, “We trust you.”

They’re obsessed with wand toys, love sharing their canned meals in a cozy crate, and can often be found soaking up sun in the window box while chirping at birds and squirrels. Both will lean in to rub their faces against your hand, showing affection in the softest, most heart-melting ways.

WHAT A GREAT DAY AT FREEHOLD DAY! Many of our Rescue Ridge adoptable pups were working the crowd and had a chance to get out of the kennel. We are so grateful to all of you who stopped by to pet them, hug them, play with them and we hope that you will adopt all of them at rescueridge.com on our website. Many thanks to our incredible volunteers who brought these amazing pups to the event, who packed up all our gear, tents, took pics and more, and to all of you who will view this album and consider adopting as the very best option. Kiki is a beautiful plus size tuxedo girl who was surrendered to our vet for euthanasia due to urinary issues. When checked out it was found she had a raging urinary tract infection. She has finished her meds and is on special food ( Hills w/d and Royal Canin Satiety) to make sure she has no further urinary issues and to help her lose some weight. She is very sweet but also very confused and stressed in our venue. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines and fel/fiv negative. Please apply to foster or adopt Kiki today!
