Staffed 100% through the efforts and donations of volunteers, we find homes for animals that other shelters and people have given up on. Through the kindness of various boarding kennels and foster families, rescued animals are cared for until they find that final family to love them. Rescue Ridge began by rescuing healthy, beautiful, animals that were slated to be euthanized through no fault of th

eir own. We felt it was unfair, that because their 'humans' had no more use for them, their days were numbered. We have tried to give each and every one of these companions a new lease on life. We rescued dogs, cats, horses and any other animal that we were able to help with our limited resources. And since we have limited space, we are always searching for those willing to help foster these wonderful creatures. We are always happy to provide information on options available to anyone needing to re-home their pet for whatever reason. It is our belief that education regarding pet ownership and its responsibilities is the best hope these companions have. Honey Bee is in a foster home. Here is what her foster mom wrote about this sweet girl:

Honey Bee is a beautiful 2-year-old female Pitbull mix. She has already been through so much in her young life. She was found in the streets in a very bad neighborhood, in the latter term of her pregnancy. Despite her rough start, she has a very gentle and loving personality. Honey Bee recently finished raising her 7 beautiful puppies, and now it’s her turn to find a forever family of her own! She adores people, loves snuggles, and can often be found happily carrying around her stuffed animal toys.

Her 7 precious puppies are approaching 8 weeks and will soon be ready to go to their forever homes! Each one has their own little personality - some are playful and goofy, others are snuggly cuddle bugs - but all of them are full of love. Like all puppies, they’ll need a family ready for the fun and responsibility of raising a puppy, including training, socialization, patience, and lots of love.

This sweet friendly girl was found as a stray. She may have had a tough time in the past but she is now with Reacue Ridge as no one has claimed her. Snickers is a purr machine who loves to be petted. She is low maintenance and affectionate girl who loves giving head bumps. Currently accepting applications for head scratches and chin rubs.
