New Monthly Badge Alert!

Many pony club badges were earned over the summer through the testing program, and those who attended camp in August also earned the Musical Ride badge, which looked like lots of fun!

This month, SPC members can work toward earning the Natural Horsemanship badge.

Members will learn about methods of natural horsemanship and/or complementary and alternative therapies. This can be accomplished by a small research project, and if the situation permits working with their own horse.

Members could research natural horsemanship theories using websites, videos, or books. They should write a report or give a brief presentation to their branch on the philosophies and practices of natural horsemanship. OR Members could prepare a PowerPoint/lide presentation that can be emailed to members about complementary and alternative therapies available to horses. Examples are massage, chiropractic therapy, acupuncture, magnetic therapy, herbs and aromatherapy. Describe how the therapy works, when you would opt for this type of therapy and what some of the problems and potential dangers are when using alternative therapies.

To submit please send projects to Springbank's badge manager Nicole and/or let her know if you would like to present at the next meeting. If you do not have her contact info feel free to DM the Springbank Pony Club profile or reach out to an administrator.

A very late camp post:

At the beginning of August, Springbank Pony Club was incredibly fortunate to host our annual camp at the beautiful Lauder Ranch. A huge thank you to Sarah Simpson for sharing her amazing facility with us!

We’re so grateful to our wonderful coaches Becky Staden and Shannon Daly for their time and guidance throughout the week.

A big shoutout as well to all of our dedicated volunteers, including our District Commissioner and Assistant District Commissioner, for making everything run so smoothly behind the scenes. Your hard work truly made camp possible!

From riding lessons and lunging sessions to fun team games like volleyball, the week was packed with learning, growth, and lots of laughs. 🐴⭐️ 🏐

Whoop Whoop!

Congratulations to all the candidates that tested for full and partial testing levels at C2, B and B2. 🎉
It was a great group of kids to be around and even though not everything always went according to plan, you all were resilient and creative in finding appropriate solutions - of course your horse pulls a shoe the morning of testing 😬

Big thank you to the examiners for being so welcoming and extremely knowledgeable. It was a great pleasure to meet you.

And finally thank you to the volunteers that made this day possible, especially Danielle, Allison and Peter. Could not have done it without you! 🥳

08/06/2025

The first Saturday in June is National Horse Day.
We hope you take the opportunity to do something fun with your horse!

Share with us your pictures of today!
