❤️Gracie Update!❤️ Look at her go! Gracie came to us paralyzed with little hope of recovery. Scoot to the Stars Rescue has been rehabbing her and she is almost there. We hope the next update is of her full-out walking. Her progress has been amazing.
Gracie got her wheels! Gracie's hind legs are paralyzed, but she's not letting that stop her. This special girl is available for adoption. Feel free to contact [email protected] with questions. The adoption application link is in the comments. Also, we appreciate any donation you'd like to make toward the cost of her cart. Thank you!
🐾 PAWSOME NEWS! 🐾 Dillon went through a lot to get where he is today. Thanks to the donations of our amazing supporters, we were able to help Dillon with a chronic sinus issue he has as a result of being shot in the face in his past. He's doing wonderful now and is in the perfect home with the perfect adopter! Thanks to Shana at West Columbia Animal Control and foster Kelly for taking such great care of him, and thanks to Wendy for giving him his best life ever.
Happy 4th of July from our adoptable, Howdy. 🤠
We would like to remind all to please keep pets indoors and safe tonight as more pets are lost on 4th of July than any other day of the year.
Casey needs a home! 🏡 This gentle giant has been in rescue for 6 months! He’s a great family dog who enjoys walks, playing, napping and spinach 🥬. Contact us if you’re interested in adding Casey to your home or share him with someone looking! 🐶
❤️🐾Adoption News🐾❤️
Roni (fka Mona) caught the eyes of Oscar and Jessica, previous STARS adopters, and recently joined their family in the PNW. You can see in the video how much Roni and her sister Trixie enjoy playing together.
Without a foster family we would not have been able to save “Mona”. Many thanks to Kay and Tom Carson for fostering “Mona” until she found her forever family.

What a great year!
Happy New Year from Gulf Coast STARS!
Pupdate: We have a true Happy Tale here folks! Poppy was adopted a few months back and her Mom sent this saying “Poppy regularly wags her tail in her sleep”! How cute is that? She’s even happy in her dreams.
😻❤️Adoption Announcement❤️😻
Sometimes happiness and contentment are more adequately portrayed by sounds than by pictures.
Close your eyes when you start the video and listen to obvious happiness and contentment.
A couple of days before winter storm Uri hit this part of Texas, Gulf Coast STARS heard about a stray “feral” cat that was stuck (without a plan) in a local rural shelter. The shelter was not climate controlled so we worried he would not survive the temperatures Texas was going to be experiencing.
He was in rough shape, covered in litter that had dried like cement all over his body. He managed to get himself clean (photo from the condition we rescued him from in comments). We named him Uri after the winter storm he was saved from and it turned out he wasn’t feral after all. Congratulations on your new home, Uri. You touched the heart of your foster mom in a big way. Thank you to the Ryman’s for fostering Uri and thank you to Matthew and Sarah for adopting this sweet loud Texas purr machine.
🐶🐾🐕¡¡ADOPTION ALERT!!🐕🐾🐶
Ty has made it to his forever home in Oregon. This guy found himself at Harris County Animal Shelter who takes in hundreds of dogs per day. Volunteers put at a plea for him on social media as his chances of getting out were slim. He had 2 strikes against him...he is a black dog and his is a pit mix in a high intake Texas shelter. When his foster mom, Kelly, saw his video she wanted to help him. When Ty made it to his foster home, we discovered he was covered in paint, his body was swollen, and he was very stressed. Our best guess from that paint splatter is that he was shot with paint balls. His foster family put in hard work with Ty, helped him decompress, showed him he was safe, and allowed him to flourish. When his new family saw his adoption video, they knew Ty was meant for them. This sweet boy is super stoked to have 2 brothers to hang out with and a family to love him. Thank you to Kelly and family for fostering. And a special thank you to the Sjolin Family for adopting a Texas dog. Happy life Ty! ♥️
