Lady O's 2nd clutch is hatching. So, I've waited to really post this, but I've got something weird and special with Lady O x Simba.

If you look closely, every baby is visually translucent (trans). Why am I explaining this? Because in order to get all visual trans you breed vis trans x vis trans. What's wild is that neither Lady O nor Simba are visual trans. Oddly, neither of their parents are visual trans either.

The trans gene is a weak gene at times and will cause visual issues. Some issues are physical, others neurological. Some babies can be born with flipper legs, organs not fully formed, and also the trans tremors.

This is why I've been breeding specifically to remove trans out of many lines. When these babies were first born, I was bewildered. I would never breed trans x trans and yet both clutches are all visual trans. The chances of this happening with proper breeding, I thought, was zero.

So here I am, being open and honest. It's the odds of a lifetime and, more likely, just a genetic lottery being won. I will probably not pair them together next year just to be on the safe side if I pair them ever again.

So, all that said, what do you think?
