The fastest way to confuse your horse is to correct a problem before it happens. If you anticipate a problem and cue your horse accordingly, your horse won’t know what they are supposed to be doing.

Don’t be afraid to trust your horse. Allow them to make mistakes. Over time, your horse will learn your style of communication and will build confidence with your cues. Once they feel confident, they will begin to understand how to avoid making mistakes.

Always growing and improving for the horse ❤️

“I don’t train horses the same way I did 10 years ago.

I don’t even train the same way I did 2 years ago.

My path is littered with abandoned methods, tools, and paradigms.

And though I have a rather successful track record helping horses rehabilitate and develop, I am constantly searching for ways to do it better.

I also find that the horses I encounter today as a whole seem softer, smarter, and more balanced than the horses of my past.
