I'm sorry, but just LOOK at his happy face 😍

I've been walking Alan once a week now for about a month & today is the first time we had some off lead fun 🐶

Although his pawrents gave permission from the get-go (permission forms must be signed), I will always take my time for the dogs to get to know me & understand I'm one of their 'people'. Making sure they're listening to me with on lead queues before giving them their off lead freedom.

We chose a small, safe, and secure area just in case there were any communication mishaps, but it's safe to say that Alan's recall is 🤌🏻

When life gives you 25°+ heat, we have to do things a little differently. Usually, Myrtle & I would have enjoyed a lovely 60-minute walk, but today it was a quick toilet break walk, sticking to the shady grassy patches & then we hopped in the car & made our way to the dog shop! Lots of sniffs around & clearing out their Snuffle matt..x2 (a lab has to lab😅) this is still a great way for her to have enjoyed her time out the house & had some mental stimulation 🐾 On days like today, when it simply IS NOT safe to walk your dogs, incorporating mental stimulation through things such as Snuffle mats, licki mats & games are all a great way to keep them occupied & happy.
