Gaius was buried on March 2nd at the Los Angeles Pet Memorial Park. His absence in our home is deeply felt. This house just feels so big and empty without him. He really made sure he was part of our lives 24/7 and not being able to have him by our sides is really difficult. 😞

Gaius passed away this morning, just a month after his initial vet visit.He'll be buried on Saturday. We are devastated...

Unfortunately the news is really bad.

Gaius has an aggressive abdominal cancer that has already spread and chemo treatments would essentially be futile and traumatic.

We're devastated that we won't have more time with him and will attempt to make him as comfortable as possible in his final days.

After a trip to the emergency room, as recommended by the vet and the radiologist, I had an ultrasound done. That's why my belly is shaved. They also took a sample of the fluid in my abdomen. My blood test came back healthy, my fluid test came back "protein rich". They're pretty sure there's some sort of cancer going on, but can't pinpoint it. So I'll have to go in for another ultrasound very soon.

They're giving me medication to make me hungry, so I've been eating more and doing my backyard rounds again. I'm mostly acting like myself, although kibbles are making me nauseous, so I'm taking a break from those. My butlers are pampering me and giving me all sorts of delicious foods and hugs.

They took me to the vet today because I've been eating less than normal and they suspected I needed dental work done. Unfortunately, the doctor found more wrong with me. I have a large abdominal mass that's pushing my other organs.
