Hi my name is James Gibeson and I am the founder of Adventure Paws. After starting a pet care company in Seattle and providing a multitude of pet services, I quickly realized that when we we took the dogs hiking in nature they were the happiest and most satisfied after our time together and reportedly better behaved at home too.
Now that I’m living in Los Angeles I’m excited to be offering an dog hiking service for residents of Santa Monica and Pacific Palisades. Currently there are only dog walking and dog daycares available in Santa Monica and Pacific Palisades, but I feel these are less than ideal solutions for most dogs.
Traditional dog walking in Santa Monica and Pacific Palisades usually means your dog will walk through the same neighborhood streets, local parks and not get very much exercise or social time with other dogs. This kind of dog walking is probably exciting for your dog at first, but after a while your dog will get used to the routine and it will become obvious through your dog’s behavior. Often times pet parents notice their dog acting badly at home too. Although your dog walker may have the best intentions, your dog may become aggressive, bark, dig up the yard get into the trash and have “accidents“ in the house more than you would expect. Most if not all these problems stem from a lack of exercise in natural wholesome environment.
