Mr. Mittens visiting his new doctor today.
#vipnews #mrmittens is now in residence! He has arrived into his furever loving home. We are so glad that we have been able to provide a wonderful home for such a deserving little soul. A giant thank you to @Catherine Milner for her dedication to animal rescue and her determination to find a home for this little guy. Also, I send out a huge amount of gratitude to his three fosters Heidi, Kristin, and Shealin, who kept him safe while the build was happening, as well as #HolyCrossSecondarySchool and Mike Sirotnik and his entourage who completed the build. An immense amount of gratitude also goes out to every single person who donated funds and supplies, helped with leg work, fundraised, shared his posts, and made other contributions!!
The final video captures the last row being installed. But, wait, they ran out of shingles - 6 shingles short. Oh well, to be completed at a later date - April 23.
The second video shows progress on the shingling. and the final video captures the last row being installed.
We're overdue on catching everyone up on the progress with Mr. Mitten's new home. On April 10th, Mike and Jeff were here to get the shingling done on the roof. Here are a few videos, the first showing the initial row being installed on the west side of the roof. The second video shows progress and the final video captures the last row being installed.
#MrMittens New Home Build. A short video of the fellows finishing up the roof - far right lower corner of the roof, the sheathing being installed. As you can see, the yard was turned into a mud bath thanks to all of the wet weather we've had lately and an army of volunteers working diligently most of Saturday.

#UPDATE! Fantastic news! Kitty has already found a new home for Christmas. We wish you all the best and a long, happy and healthy life in your new home, little one. So happy for you.

Here's Kitty in a short video, at play. Did you see our earlier post about Kitty? This sweet senior - about 11 or 12 years old - is in need of a somewhat urgent new home for Christmas. She has recently been parted from her human guardian who was placed, unexpectedly, in long-term care. Kitty was rescued by her guardian about a year ago under very similar circumstances and here she is, again, in need of a permanent and loving new home. If you think you would be a perfect pet parent for Kitty please contact us at [email protected].
