ADOPTED!!!
Lumen is still at Petco in Brighton and will remain there only through Sunday as she has been in the store far too long. She got a couple of new toys the other day and as seen in this video is enjoying them.
Lumen is still a baby at just 6 months old but doesn't care for other animals so needs to be the only pet in the home. It's been exhausting to see several apps come in that have other pets, lying about their living situation, backing out, and other reasons. When we say no pets, no young kids or other criteria we say it for a reason. We get these cats and kittens out of bad situations, work hard at getting to know them, and spend time and money on them, so we know what is best. We want them in the right home so they can live their best life.
Lumen is an amazing, fabulous, beautiful, adorable, fun, and hilarious girl who will be your best friend. She loves people,
is a volunteer favorite, and we know somebody is out there for her.
She must be the only pet.
No young children as she gets very stimulated with attention and nibbles.
She is young, so plan on 15+ years.
She would prefer somebody that is home more often.
Help us find Lumen a home. She has had thousands of views but the right family hasn't come along. We don't want to send her back to the foster home where she will have to be separated from the other cats meaning not as much human attention. Let's make this happen and get our black beauty out of the store by the weekend.

Freya The Fighter Update:
The PCR results for Freya confirmed she is FELV positive and it's progressive. This means it's in her bone marrow and she cannot fight it off. We are working with a FELV sanctuary who will be looking to place her in a foster home in May after she recovers from her spay surgery on April 29th.
She was under the weather Monday morning running a high fever, lethargic, not wanting to eat, and had a runny eye. We got her going on an antibiotic and later in the day she started perking up. She saw our vet on Tuesday and it's believed she had a reaction to her 1st vaccine from last week which can happen sometimes in cats and kittens. It is not the FELV that made her sick. She has perked up and back to her spunky self with the fever was gone by Tuesday morning.
As you can see in this video Freya is a spunky playful girl. She likes toys bigger than she is. She may be tiny and petite for her age but she is mighty. Freya has so much life in her that it's hard to believe her life will sadly be short. For now Freya is living the good life with a couple who adore her and will continue to care for her until she moves onto a FELV rescue.
Freya the Fighter update:
This little girl has a few things going on but has been incredibly resilient. She was in a temporary foster home for a week and now in the long term foster home. Freya got into one of our vets last week who discovered she also has ear mites and demodex mites. Her fur feels crusty. She received a treatment that can help kill the mites for her ears and skin, and will require a couple of more monthly treatments. She has received multiple baths with a medicated shampoo. The water turns brown which is likely the dead skin cells. Poor thing in addition to freezing was itchy and shaking her little noggin' from those pesty mites. She is also on an antibiotic for a uri and has a vaporizer running in the room she is hanging out in. She is no longer having diahrrea so shouldn't be at risk of dehydrating.
She is clearly feeling better. She is eating good, both wet and canned food and her weight is heading in the right direction, up to 1.35 lbs. She still has the big 'ol barrel belly but it's not slowing her down.
She is playing now too as seen in this video, and we just love seeing her act like a kitten. She doesn't like to be alone and is a chatty gal. Fortunately, the foster works from home and can constantly check up on her and she is getting lots of tlc.
Freya has a long road ahead of her to be where she needs to be and we are there for her for as long as needed. Please keep sending Freya pawsitive energy for continued healing. Freya is a very sweet little girl that has so much fight in her and we will keep fighting with her.
Arezzo and Sienna are still at Petco in Brighton. This brother/sister duo are showing off but have had zero interest. They love the wand toy that is hanging on the hook outside the habitat. They aren't just 1 trick kitties though being fun and playful, they are friendly and cuddly with their people too. Just 5 months young and full of spunk, they are ready to bust out of the store. They are from a litter of 5 so would love a playmate so consider adopting together or mix and match with another litter mate.
Stop by this weekend grab the wand toy and give it a little wiggle action for some entertainment. Then fill out an application to give these little snuggle clowns a furever home.
Dogs unknown, no young kids.

Baker and Hawkeye here...we are still stuck at Petco in Brighton where we have been for over 2 weeks now. This enclosure isn't exactly spacious for our WWE moments. Why why why no interest in us? We hear all day loooong how cute we are. We are friendly and fun too. Nope, we aren't tiny little boys anymore but that's because nobody has wanted us since we became available 2 months ago. We are still young and kittens, just getting big...going on 5 months old. We don't want to hear anymore how cute we are...prove it, we want to be in a home. You can cancel ESPN and just watch us rumble, climb towers, and jump at wand toys. Whip out the churus and you instantly become our best friend.
Stop by and check us out. No young kids or dogs please...you don't need them anyway when you have us. We provide plenty of entertainment and cuddles.
Fill out an application please if you want to take us home.

RIP HARLOW
We are heartbroken to report that we had to let Harlow go last night. The Dr. called going on midnight to report his temp spiked higher to 104 and blood sugar plummeted to 23 after being at 155 at 4 pm (100 is normal). Also reported was that his gums and ears were starting to go yellow, a sign of possible liver failure. He had also stopped eating on his own. We will never know what caused this sweet little boy to be so sick. It could be congenital, he could have gotten into something toxic. He was born outside like so many innocent babies are, increasing their chances of a hard life.
The Director went to say goodbye and Harlow purred the entire time (listen closely to video) even as he heavily faded after a few minutes of a little perkiness from being given some dextrose (had been on dextrose for over 24 hours but when lowered or taken off it he crashed quickly plus the fever had only gotten worse going back to late afternoon). He deserved a proper good-bye so got some pets and snuggles. He was happy to receive the attention. He went peacefully but we are not at peace that this innocent sweet baby's life ended so young. It's not fair, fosters suffer the heartbreak at the failure of other human beings who didn't do the right thing. We keep on plugging along reminding ourselves we save more than we don't each time there's a loss, but it isn't easy.
Harlow has 4 litter mates so please send positive energy that they will be ok. No signs at this time of illness but they will be monitored closely.
Fly free sweet innocent little boy. We are incredibly sorry we couldn't save you 😢
Our total bill was $1,499. We have raised $365 for Harlow. Any amount to help toward this bill will be greatly appreciated.

We have a kitten on the way to emergency. We just took in this 5 to 6 week old little girl in named Mulberry yesterday. Her rib cage is very weird, indented and we suspect pectus excavatum which is serious (see picture in comments). Mulberry started having rapid breathing tonight so off to emergency. They plan to do xrays which will be a minimum of $400-$500 just for starters. We know we just asked for money yesterday but are sadly asking for more. Little is known at this time but an update will be provided when more is known. The emergency vet cannot take call in donations as it ties up their phone lines which is needed to deal with their emergencies. Our sick crew from yesterday are doing better but the smallest one is still very guarded. They go back to our vet tomorrow.
Please send pawsitive energy this sweet little girl's way that just wants to snuggle with the foster.
You can also donate via PayPal or Venmo thru the link below. Paws crossed for this little girl.

ADOPTION PENDING
Ralph is at Pet Supplies Plus in South Lyon until 3 pm. He is showing off because he is craving attention. Stop by and see our little hunk
Just 2 days until Mother's Day and just 2 days ago we posted Callaway who is still at Petco in Brighton. We really would love to see Callaway find her furever home for Mother's Day...it would be a great Mother's Day gift for our petite and sweet mama cat.
Callaway is just 1 years young so was a young mom. She is so ready to be in a home where she can now put her mom role aside and be the young gal that she is. She has been pretty chill at the store but when we open the habitat she wants pets and will bat at anything that dangles as seen in this video. We have a hunch once she gets her freedom ride she will open up even more and be even more playful. She is not shy of people so will make a great family pet.
Please help us find this sweet girl a home. Just fill out an application through the link below if interested.
We are excited for the weekend. Some of our Sound of Music family with Mama Maria are reminding everyone that tomorrow and Sunday between 11 am and 3 pm we will be in the parking lot of Pet Supplies Plus in South Lyon for our first bottle drive of the year and accepting donations. This is a little family of 9 so we will go through a lot of food , litter and vet care with this crew.
Bring all of your returns by just pulling up your car and we will unload whether you have a small amount or a lot. We will take any amount.
We will also be accepting donations as we are in need of Fancy Feast kitten canned turkey food, Purina One Healthy Kitten dry, and Friskies pate poultry flavors. Any cat and dog food will be accepted as well to provide to Livingston Area Pet Pantry.
The weather forecast is looking great so stop by and see us.
Check out Derek who we posted this morning and his sister Meredith playing their version of "ping pong". Both available for adoption.

Happy 1st Birthday to our Grey's Anatomy litter. The beautiful Cristina, cute George, handsome Derek, and adorable Meredith are celebrating in their foster home but looking for their furever home. They are a good looking, fun, playful, curious bunch.
They like to have fun by playing with a variety of toys, looking out the window, bird watching, taking naps on a pile of blankets, rubbing on fosters legs when its canned food time, and enjoy being petted. Not big on being picked up so no kids under 10, but enjoy being around their people and other young cats. Dogs are unknown.
Check out their petfinder profile for more pictures and a little more about each of them. How awesome would it be to get applications to celebrate their birthday. Check them out and fill out an application thru links below.

Bernadette at Petco
Bernadette is at Petco in Brighton.
Bernadette is one of our mama cats who had 3 babies. Leonard and Penny are 2 who were just adopted Monday night. She is a friendly girl at just 1.5 years young.
She is a low maintenance independent girl who appreciates attention but not demanding. She is a nice balance of playful and laid back so not crazy energy like kittens but enjoys some playtime with wand toys her favorite.
Bernadette can be an only cat or should be fine with an adult cat as she does well with the adult male in the foster home. Older kids should be fine but no younger kids as she tends to give love nibbles.
She got to the store Monday night and is nervous but last night was periodically coming out of hiding. Her gorgeous green eyes will draw you in. We got her to bat at a wand toy for a bit so hoping she settles in soon so people can see how pretty she is.
If looking for a nice cat that is a sweet and low maintenance than Bernadette is your girl. We don't know how she is with dogs so a meet-n-greet will be required.
If interested in this pretty gal, just fill out an application through the link below.

We have itty bitty wittle kitties! Almost 3 weeks ago we took petite and sweet pregnant Callaway out of a shelter so she wouldn't have her babies in a cage. Overnight Friday she had her babies. Sadly one was stillborn but we have 4 active healthy babies and Callaway is being a fabulous mom. She likes to stretch out and make biscuits in the air while nursing, it's so darn adorable.
We have an orange, black, gray, and gray and cream little nuggets with all showing stripes already. We look forward to watching them grow and develop personalities.
3 weeks at Petco in Brighton, Valentine’s Day is tomorrow, and the right home hasn't been found for 1 year old energetic Saffron.
Fun girl, energetic, independent, gets the zoomies, makes biscuits, outgoing, needs a spacious home, likes to get up high, kisses hands.
Best as an only pet, prefer experienced cat owner, ...may consider if home has a very young spunky cat who won't mind some chasing and knows how to have the patience to introduce cats. She is not liking dogs at the store so no dogs. Older kids only as she does nibble when wound up.
She is letting everyone know she wants out. She comes to the front of the habitat, scratches at the door, and performs somersaults...lol.
If we take her out of the store back to the foster home, she will go unnoticed and get even less interest, but cannot keep her at the store much longer. We know the right home is out there for this silly girl. Please share if not in the market or not the right fit for your home.
Fill out an application on our crazy girl if interested.

Saffron has been at Petco in Brighton for 2 weeks now. How we'd love to see her in a home before Valentine's Day. Being in a habitat for this spirited girl isn't her thing. Anytime somebody comes by she walks along the habitat hoping somebody will bust her out of jail. She is quite the character with lots of purrsonality.
She will do best as an only cat as she does let other cats know she is in charge and doesn't respect boundaries by chasing and pouncing when she has her battery pack on😁 .
We were hoping she would be ok with dogs but although shows no fear, she is showing dislike when dogs go up to the glass. Saffron is fearless so maybe a very calm dog that will stay out of her space although she may likely try to engage any other animal as she is quite curious and know she is the boss so a proper introduction is a must.
She can be a hoot but needs the right home. She will adapt quickly into a new environment but needs lots of space to run and explore, places she can climb on to look out over everything. She likes to rub up against just about anything, will make biscuits (kneads), likes soft cozy beds, boxes might be good fun too. When she wants something she will follow her person letting them know she wants something. She is a very smart independent 1 year old girl.
Saffron will give kitty kisses to the back of hands, and loves head, chin and booty scratches. Chasing laser lights, zipping thru tunnels, zoomies, and bird watching are some of her favorite activities.
We know the right home is out there for Saffron. She is a long timer that is so ready for her palace to be the silly girl that she is. A green eyed beauty with a fiery energy and unmatched character.
If interested in our spunky gal, just fill out an application thru the link below. No young children.

Viola making biscuits
Viola stayed the night at Pet Supplies Plus in South Lyon and had zero interest all day yesterday. She will be in the store all day today until around 5:00. This beautiful, affectionate, biscuit making purr machine couldn't get enough attention last night when her foster, volunteer and employee gave her some 1 on 1 time.
She purred the entire time we hung out with her and was making biscuits (kneading). She was giving us head butts too, just craving attention and giving it back.
We hope today is her lucky day that her purrfect family comes along. Viola is deserving of a fabulous home.
Pictures don't capture her colors or markings. She has torti/calico coloring mixed with tabby markings. She is beautiful inside and out.
Stop by and see this incredible young girl. You will fall in love. She prefers to be an only cat, a calm cat that stays out of her space may be ok, dogs are unknown, no young children. Spayed, up to date on vaccines, fiv/felv negative, and microchipped.
Fill out an application if interested in this beauty.

Happy New Year!
We wish everyone and their pets have a healthy and prosperous yearal
Saffron making biscuits
Biscuits anyone?
Saffron was adopted about a month ago just to be returned a week later. Saffron is a fun crazy girl that was just too much spunk for the adopter.
She just turned 1 years old in late October. This green eyed beauty is independent, adventurous, curious, fearless, confident, smart, spunky, and funny.
She gets the zoomies and loves running through the home so she needs space to motor through. She also likes to climb up high so she can be on top of her world. Saffron enjoys being petted, head and chin scratches, and will let you snuggle her for a few when she is in her mellow stage.
She will do best as an only cat. She likes to chase and pounce. Most of the day she is pretty chill but when she is fired up the home is her race track.
She will chase and jump at anything you toss then on to her next adventure. She enjoys the laser light, buzzing in and out of tunnels, and pop up cubes. She also loves looking out the window to critter watch.
Saffron is an entertaining young girl who may be ok with a calm dog. She has not shown fear when seeing them at the store a couple of times. No children under 10.
We know there are homes out there for a silly girl like Saffron. She should adapt quickly and she is so ready for her final destination
Just fill out an application if interested in Saffon.
