Welcome our 5 day old babies who our foster took on at just 2 days old. The first 3 pictures are Roo, Rowdy and Raya.

Sadly we lost their brother Ryatt yesterday (last picture). He was born with aImperforate a**s, a congenital defect where the a**l opening is absent or closed, preventing normal defecation. In his case he had no a**l opening at all and wasn’t able to pass stool. His condition would have required surgical correction, such as creating a new a**l opening and a procedure called an anoplasty. He was unfortunately too young for surgery but now is pain free.

Ryatt's spirit will live on through his siblings. Rescue is hard but there are so many that still need help that we must push through.

Please send pawsitive energy for Ryatt's siblings. They are so fragile at this age but our experienced bottle feeder will give them 100%.

Yukie came to us as a spunky 2 week old girl who needed bottle feeding. The neighbors of the foster often go hang out playing and snuggling with the fosters in the foster home. After a few weeks of hanging with the delightful and fun girl, they developed a bond with Yukie. Tonight Yukie joins the neighbors as a permanent resident who will be incredibly spoiled.

Miso got through her surgery Wednesday and went back home yesterday afternoon. All went well as they were able to remove most of the fibrous band that was blocking her and were able to spay her as well.

She will be uncomfortable for a week or 2 as she has a lot of internal and external sutures. She is loaded up on meds to help her discomfort. She is eating, drinking, and snuggling. Staff at Animal Surgical Center in Flint were great with Miso and she was well liked by staff because she is such a sweet girl. A follow up visit will be scheduled in 10 to 14 days.

We haven't received the final bill yet but the estimate was $3,430 without the spay up to $4,328 which included the spay, minus a rescue discount so it should be at least $3,400 plus the previous $1,500 CT scan.

We want to thank everyone who donated toward Miso's surgery and for those that supported us in our fundraisers over the past month. We couldn't take care of our cats without our followers support!

Please send pawsitive thoughts for Miso's recovery and that she never has to strain again and can be the young girl that she is 24/7.

Liberty and Slate have been at Petco in Brighton for 3 weeks with zero interest. Just 5 months young, these 2 are beautiful youngsters with Liberty's shiny gray coat and Slate's masculine stripes.

Both are very playful and enjoy other cats. Ideally we would love to see them adopted together whose personalities compliment each other well as well as playful compatibility. Liberty is very outgoing and loves attention. Slate is a bit shy so Liberty helps him come out of his shell. We believe Slate in a quieter environment he will shine. Both can be affectionate.

They were in a home with dogs where Liberty did well while Slate was slowly acclimating but might thrive in a home without dogs. The store can get noisy so Slate often hides but he comes out later in the evening when volunteers are cleaning and it's quieter. He recently discovered catnip and had a blast. Liberty is usually out showing off her sophisticated looks.

We would love to see them bust out of the store so Slate can show his true purrsonality without all of the racket of dogs barking and store activities. Liberty would love her freedom to be around people more as well as more play time.

Let's not make it too much longer for these 2. They are ready for a home where they can enjoy being the youngsters they are.

Turbo and Samuel were singleton bottle babies in the same foster home. Samuel was born on the adopter's porch and she kept in touch with the foster. Today Samuel and his foster roommate Turbo joined the family where Samuel was born.

Big day today! Sweet Miso is finally going in for her stricture repair surgery. This poor young girl has been struggling to defecate since we took her in back in April. Initially it was thought dehydration from parasites. Different treatments were tried just to continue seeing her in pain. Most of the time Miso is a happy, playful and loving girl...until it's time to go. Huge kudos to our foster parents who have worked diligently with Miso with vet appointments, treatments, daily b***y baths the first few months, and cleaning up after her as Miso misses the litter box...a common problem with constipation.

Paws crossed for a successful surgery. She will be staying overnight and hopefully released tomorrow morning. Please send pawsitive energy Miso's way.

Marmalade is still awaiting his furever home. This young fella is full of playful energy so going to a home with another young kitty or adopt with another of our kitties that will match his energy is best for Marmalade. We have a couple of others we believe will be a good match. He will engage other cats so young whipper snappers are best.

When he unwinds from getting into kitten mischief, Marmalade becomes a snuggle bug. Handsome, fun, entertaining and snuggly. That's a pretty good package!

Coming to us as a singleton, Marmalade does nibble so older children and up are best. Dogs will require a meet-n-greet. Marmalade is neutered, microchipped, up to date on all vaccines and fiv/felv tested negative.

We have Halloween potent catnip kickers and pillows left. If you would like any, arrangements can be made to drop off or meet up in South Lyon or, New Hudson, or meet up in Brighton. There is also the option to purchase and donate back to the rescue for our older kittens and adult foster cats.

We are back today for our can and bottle drive. Gather up your returns and stop by in the parking lot of Pet Supplies Plus in South Lyon between 11 am to 3 pm. We will also be accepting gently used athletic shoes, monetary and food donations. We need Purina One Healthy Kitten dry food and Friskies Pate poultry flavors canned food.

Can't make the drive but have returns, you can save up until next month's drive which will be our final drive of the year. 1 day only, Sunday, November 2nd, 11 to 3. Or you can message us if you live in South Lyon, Brighton or surrounding communities . Please provide your location, phone number and how many bags of returns you have. A volunteer will be in touch to coordinate a pickup.

We will also be taking in monetary, gently used athletic shoes and food donations during the drive. We are in need of Purina One Healthy Kitten dry food and Friskies Pate poultry flavors canned food.
