Maggie is full of energy and enthusiasm when she meets new dogs, we're working together to help her stay calm in the presence of new dogs while out and about. We use fetch and sniffing as fun ways to help her unwind and find balance!

Oliver and I were honored to demonstrate Trick Dog and Canine Good Citizen in the center ring at Meet the Breeds in NYC. We even got to evaluate a few teams for their CGC title amongst thousands of people! We hung out with Port Chester Obedience Training Club and popped by the borzoi booth to see

In very belated news...I'll be at meet the breeds Sunday, January 26th at the Javits Center in NYC, with Oliver! When we aren't center stage doing demonstrations, you can find us at the Port Chester Obedience Training Club table.

Trick dog demonstrations at 9:00 am will teach you how to teach your dog 5 new tricks!

CGC demonstration will walk demo teams through 10 different and crucial exercises to having a well-mannered dog.

Brilliant Rowan earned his AKC Trick Dog Novice title! Did you know if you have the AKC Canine Good Citizen title, you only need to perform 5 tricks as opposed to ten for your novice title?

We paired up with another small business to create acorn and pinecone scent work hides, custom made for North Star Canine, you won't find these anywhere else. These hides are able to be hung for a sneaky suspended hide, or use them as a natural ground hide! Strategically placed holes allow for enough odor to release from any position.
This is the first of many big things we will be adding to our website in 2025!

A little late to the party with this one, but there's still time!
Registration is OPEN for January and February classes. Try a new sport with your dog in the new year. There is room left in tricks where you can earn your first trick title, discover your dog's superpowers in Intro to Nose Work, or up your Obedience game in a laid back environment with Intro to Rally.

Handsome Zeus is showing so much improvement from one lesson to the next!
Dog training doesn't have to be complicated and difficult to follow through with. I ask my clients to practice just 5 minutes a day, most of the time that's all we need to see great results.

Allergen alert training with @freya_wants_your_food In this exercise the outside of the solo cup was coated with strong smelling hand lotions and perfumes, simulating someone who may be wearing skin care products while delivering or cooking food. Strong smelling perfumes may mask the subtle scent of an allergen which could be life threatening to the handler!
