🏅🏅EDIT: Klaus is on his way home!!! He will be living with his brothers Rip and Nox and his half’s sister Nova. ❤️💙🧡💜💛

Alright gang.

klaus is now with us and still hoping for his forever.
He’s a good boy, he really loves having the other dogs to play with but would do great as an only boy as well so long as he’s spoiled with attention.

He’s a little anxious, but that’s to be expected since he’s in a whole new world right now and he doesn’t understand what’s going on.

I believe once he has a family and a routine again he will settle right in.

Unfortunately klaus has gotten a taste for the chase of poultry and he’s doing whatever he can to get out to them.

So, NO livestock for this boy.

He’s house/crate trained, up to date on vaccines but will still need to be neutered.

He pulls a little on a leash, but does well on a martingale. LOVES kids, good with other dogs, lived with a cat and did ok unless cat was getting treats lol then he would chase him off.

He wants to be a part of everything! So someone who will give him lots of love and attention.

He can be a counter surfer, so ya don’t want him to “guard” that roast for ya. 😉

This will likely be Arwens last litter!!

Ok, so let me start by saying…….. we do not think we will be breeding as much.
We’re cutting back on our number of litters each year and will be trying to phase out of breeding in the next few years.

What I need to know is how much interest we would have in this pairing.

So if you’ve ever wanted and Arwen pup, this is your chance.

🎨They have chances of throwing pretty much any color but red.

We will not be pairing them if there is not enough interest.

🛑✋PLEASE, PLEASE READ✋🛑

💥💥TRIGGER WARNING💥💥
* there will be information provided below and in some of the screen shots that not all may want to read. So please, if animal cruelty is a no go for you. Do not read any further.

This is going to be a long post, but this information needs to be spread as far and wide as we can get it to go. So please read, please share, please send a healing vibe, good thought, prayer or whatever other heartfelt positive energy you care to.

Cassie (Cassidy) Berkheimer and Rachael feaster have allowed OVER 50 poor innocent animals to die what only sounds like slow, agonizing, horrific deaths.
This is also only the beginning numbers, who knows what the actual numbers are!!

I will start with our boy, Kahlua.

Kahlua was a male red and white piebald pup born to Luna and Ollie’s final litter on September 9th 2023 he was a beautiful and sweet boy.

We as always, went through the process of making sure his potential home was a good one.
Application, lots of conversations, questions, vetting, a contract in place.
References were provided and checked into, including their vet.
Current videos and pics of potential to be fur siblings, current vet records etc.
we homed this baby with Cassie and Rachael of Altoona PA.

We had extensive conversations with these girls, we thought that this boy was truly going to be spoiled beyond belief.

On the evening of May 9th we were informed from Cassidy that they left Kahlua with a “friend” while they were out of town for a birthday party for a few days but that when they picked him up from there, something wasn’t right.
They needed to get him to the ER vet but needed to gather the funds first.
Supposedly once there he was given fluids and then I heard nothing until the next morning when I was told he had to be euthanized.
Our hearts were broken. This poor little one was only 8 months old!!!

We were then told an autopsy was going to be performed. On May 16th I was informed that they were going to court.
That the autopsy came back that he had internal bleeding and “never stood a chance”
Said that the “friends” were being charged with cruelty and aggravated cruelty to animals.

She continued to express her anger with these “friends” her sadness and her grief. We felt terrible for her, for them.

On June 8th she expressed interest in a pup we still had available but that she needed to talk to her wife. On June 9th she shared that they were thinking of the name Ember…….. keep this name in mind.

On the morning June 11th she asked about placing a deposit. (No deposit was ever made)

On the evening of June 11th she backs out.

I was told their home just caught on fire that they lost everything and all their pets but one.

I was told that neither of them were home and that the dogs turned the stove on.

I can’t say I wasn’t suspicious, I continued to look up things about this “fire” I couldn’t find anything. All I knew was something felt off.

The next day I did discover the PA fire department did report a fire at the home but no further information was given.

On Monday June 24th a post was shared with me that exposed the DISGUISTING, SICK AND SAD truth.

Cassidy and Rachel have committed far to many accounts of animal cruelty and neglect, plain and simple.

We DO NOT believe for a second that any “friend” killed Kahlua, we DO NOT believe that the “dogs started the stove”

We believe that Kahlua was abused and neglected by them.
Hannah later informed me that she spoke with the vet Kahlua was at and he was never treated as he was never alive!!!

We also find it VERY ironic that just days before this house fire that they wanted to name a pup “Ember” 🤔

The stories though……. The quickness that these LIES were made up!!!!! The fact that I really think she believed the things she said.

There was one surviving baby, Akoa. If only we could get the true story from him. The hurt and pain and suffering of the home he came from.

They did foster another husky named Max, and Max needs help guys!
Max was removed from the home a week prior to the fire due to his lack of care.
Max needs lots of medical attention that Cassidy and Rachael were failing to provide.

Something needs to be done, Kahlua needs justice.
All of these poor animals deserve justice. DO NOT let these people get their hands on another animals EVER again!!

Alright my huskywarriors……. We need the word spread and you guys are amazing at doing so! 💛🧡🖤💙🩵

Although blue girl is still hoping for her furever.

We have a 15 month old who is back up and looking.

It hurts his family to do this, but the chickens man….. the chickens…… he just can’t resist them.

ATTENTION NEW PUPPY OWNERS…….

I wanted to touch base on a common issue that breeders come across with new owners.

🐾⁉️REALISTIC EXPECTATIONS⁉️🐾

You see the breeders pictures and videos and the pups are all social. They are quiet in the pen. The breeder shows you videos of them being totally relaxed, happy, playful. All looks amazing and then you bring your puppy home.

Time for reality to hit.

The puppy may cry in the crate for the first few nights making you tired and agitated.
The happy social puppy is refusing to greet the half dozen overly excited friends you invited over to see your new puppy.
Or the overly excited playful children you have at home.
The puppy refuses to walk on a leash.

Many are wondering how did my perfect puppy turn into a nightmare.

So let’s discuss realistic expectations of when a puppy goes home.

-First of all the puppy has been in the breeders home since birth. They had their mother and littermates. They had their routine, were taught expectations and were completely in their comfort zone.
Now suddenly they are taken to a totally new environment.
Picture yourself being dropped into an unknown country, in a different part of the world. You know only a few words of their language. Different sounds, smells, temperature, animals and people.
Now in the middle of this we are switching up your routine, possibly decide to have a party with people you don't know, and ask you to do jobs you have no idea about. Overwhelming to say the least.
This is what every puppy goes through when going to their new home. Stress manifests in different forms. From not eating, reluctancy to play, and greet people. Being apprehensive at the vet’s office or as strangers reach for them. Diarrhea, vomiting and depression can occur.

So what can you as a new owner do to help your little one acclimate?

- most puppies take 3-4 weeks to acclimate to their new home.

💥Repeat after me THREE to FOUR WEEKS sometimes even Longer! 💥

Not a 1-2 days. I can’t stress this enough about how much time is needed for a dog or puppy to feel comfortable in their new home!

PLEASE limit guests during the first two weeks. We understand you are excited to show off your new baby but they need time to adjust. Plan on waiting 1-2 weeks before inviting people over.

- ask guests to remove their shoes before entering the home to prevent germs from spreading to your new vulnerable puppy.

-have guests sit on the floor/ground and wait until the puppy approaches them. NO squealing and grabbing the puppy, as this is very frightening to them.

- set up a good routine

- restrict the puppy to a small area of the house. This not only reduces them being overwhelmed but also allows you to watch them

- don’t expect a 8-12 week old puppy to walk on a leash. Instead work at home with a leash where they are comfortable. Let them drag the leash, use treats to encourage them to walk with you

- if your puppy is refusing to walk give them a good amount of time.

- understand your puppy needs time to see you as family. Expecting an immediate bond is unrealistic. They will need to establish who the leader of the pack is in order to feel safe and understand the hierarchy of the family unit.

- train your puppy. This not only helps you to bond but the puppy to look to you for direction and input.

-Children are also big stressors to tiny fragile puppies, please keep an eye on children around the puppy at all times. The children may need to learn how fragile the puppy is and how scared it may be. Puppies and adult dogs NEED……NEED ….a safe, kid free zone.

- lastly, most importantly- BE PATIENT. Don’t declare “omg there’s something wrong with this dog”. Nothing occurs overnight.

Outings should be planned after the puppy has received ALL vaccinations and then only at the puppy’s speed.
So while you might imagine a fun walk around the lake in reality your puppy might only be able to handle walking a short distance that day. They may be curious and energetic, they may become overwhelmed. Watch the puppy for cues on how to proceed.
Most outings for me take a long time, as I am often just standing still as the puppy cautiously explores the new environment. Patience is key!
Remember if the puppy was wonderful at the breeder’s house but now is struggling, you as the owner, need to help the puppy adjust which takes time, patience and training.
Have realistic expectations and give the puppy positive feedback and happy experiences. Each puppy is an individual, don’t compare your current puppy to past pets and judge their behavior based on how another dog handled things.
Lastly, try to see thing’s from a puppy’s perspective and adjust situations accordingly.
Love your puppy and they will love you 100 times more in return.
