Scottish Water is now urging people in the area to be alert to any "unusual activity" by commercial vehicles like tanker lorries which could be linked to the problems being experienced.

I just wanted to put out a warning to all dog walkers . Please keep your dogs away from the river temporary if possible . My dog had been in the Kemnay river , had drank the water , had been sick the same night and unfortunately passed away the next morning. There’s been lots of dogs getting unwell recently that had been either in the water or on walks , this had been reported to SEPA and waiting for an outcome . I cant say for sure it was definitely the water but there is a chance it could have been .

Welcome to the Furry fold Ollie 💙 poor boy had a bad start in life 💔 thankfully rescued and now in very good hands. Ollie will need a lot of time to build his confidence. Just started taking Ollie out this week. Onwards and upwards for this lovely boy 🐾

is a fabulous group advocating to pick up a couple of pieces of litter on every dog walk.
There are so many irresponsible dog owners/walker who don;t pick up but I know keeping our walks clean is something we all strive for.
Those hanging bags on bushes or trees ... just not acceptable... just bin it or take it home.

It is important for dogs, especially busy active ones to use their tremendous senses such as, smell to search and seek out treats or favourite toys.
