We will be accepting monetary donations at Saturday's WMHA Fall Trail Ride to send to this incredible organization who has been helping horses affected by the recent hurricanes. Let's show them that the horse owners of New Hampshire and Maine care. No amount is too small. Can't make it to the ride, you can donate online at https://www.fleetofangels.org/
Thank you. 🐴

Only 5 more sleeps!

We are looking forward to our upcoming club trail ride on Saturday, October 26 in Fryeburg, ME and welcome club members to join us, with or without a horse!

We had such a blast last year and will be hanging out by a warm fire while the riders are out. When the riders get back, everyone can enjoy the potluck lunch & social time around 12:00-1:00ish.

🎃👻New this year - Don’t forget to show off you or your horse’s Halloween spirit and get entered into a free drawing for a fun prize!

WMHA FUNDRAISER *Please help us, help them. 🐴
In the wake of the two recent catastrophic hurricanes, we will also be accepting monetary donations (check, money order, cash and venmo) at the ride, to help horses down south. We will be making a collective donation on behalf of WMHA to https://www.fleetofangels.org/ , a national organization who helps horse owners and small rescues in need of urgent assistance after being devastated by a natural disaster or major emergency.

Please RSVP to Debbie or Trish whether you will be attending with or without a horse, and what you’ll be bringing for the potluck so that we have an idea of how many people are coming.
Thanks everyone!

Missing horse in Maine!

UPDATE: Smokey has been FOUND!! thank you all for the amazing sharing out there…this is what social media is all about!💜💜💜💜💜💜

If folks have game cameras up or are part of hunting groups on FB, please share this with them?

Need some help from our amazing community! This guys escaped 2 nights ago and despite exhaustive searching, we have no sign of him. He would likely be around the upper High road in Cornish, possibly Limington or Limerick. We think he must have been spooked. any help or sightings would be SUPER helpful!! Please DM us if you have any info. Love you all and thanks in advance for any help!💜

Sunday October 20th will be my first organized trail ride in years! I'm looking forward to reconnecting with old friends and meeting new trail riders.

There will be three riding options.

A 3 to 4 hr ride to Quaker Ridge. A 270 degree view of the white mountains and the lakes region.

A trail called the Nuns Farm Loop (by us) which is partly rocky but those of you who have ridden Jugtown a lot in the past may have never been on this trail.

And an easy two hour loop through Jugtown.

One ride can have a guide, probably the one with the most riders.

The rest will get maps and written directions to their destination.

We have lots of parking. Half can be driven straight through and half need to turn or back in or out.

Riders who want to go on their own can start as early as 9 a.m., this is recommended for the Quaker Ridge Ride, but official start is 10:30 for those who want to ride in groups to accommodate anyone traveling a distance to get here.

We will have a fire going all afternoon, carrots for the horses and soups and hot comfort food for the riders. Bring a dessert or appetizer to share.

There is no charge for this ride but we are asking for a $20 donation to 4R Animal Shelter, who also works with veterans at House in the Woods.

We may also offer a game with prizes. More details to come.

EXTRAS! I will post more info and pics in a post as well.

4R Animal Shelter does a horse head wreath fund raiser every year, so....

We are offering a horse head wreath gift certificate to anyone who brings $100 or more of sponsorships to the ride.

Any rider who brings the largest business sponsor over $100 will get a horse head wreath and the business will get advertising on all of the affiliated social media pages after the ride, with photos of the ride and the winners.

If anyone wants to get multiple sponsors we will also do a gift basket with 4R swag, a horse head wreath and other fun prizes for the person who brings the biggest number or individual sponsors. These can be private or business sponsors. We just want to award you for your work.

And, since its almost Halloween, lets do a costume contest! We'll have prizes for the best horse and rider costume, the best horse only costume and the best rider only costume.
