Gwen VII the Canine Companions Future Service Dog

Gwen finished her second week with Kay, the golden girls and family. Now she is off to go meet Tex and spend the next two weeks with her co-raiser Sharon! Gwen is doing great with sitting at the door before you leave, and really listening to her name. She loves the snuggles, still some howling, playing with her toys. Happy Easter weekend!

The first week Gwen has grown so much in the first week. She’s had her first bath, been working on her name recall, cuddling, running through the tunnel, meeting the golden girls. Already growing so fast! The golden girls thought we needed to have talk about this they have warmed up! This little scrunch face is on her way to big things and we can’t wait for you to join in her adventure!

March 15th!!! It’s finally here, we got little hints of who you are, we found who you were, we went back and looked at all the photos and videos looking for your blue collar, the excitement and anticipation continued to grow. We all were crossing our fingers, you would fly safe, it was so windy, at times scary, we kept checking for you.

These puppies continued to grow,snuggle, dog pile, love on their mama, love on each other and start their first steps into this brave new world. We were lucky as puppy raisers to follow the G litter and see the photos, and have them once we knew Gwen was ours to raise.

Katrina is such a good mama!!! She gave birth to 11 healthy babies on 01/15/24. Gwen is in the blue collar. When the puppies are born they use color collar for the birth order. Gwen was the second born. Katrina’s breeder caretakers took special care of Katrina and her puppies. Prepping them for their puppy raisers.

As puppy raisers we don’t find out who we are going to get right away, we get little hints, we had found that Katrina was going to have the G litter, but then the names came out! We were 98% sure we were getting a yellow puppy, and based on dates we thought one of these yellow girls would be ours! Found out it was Gwen!
