𝐿𝑒𝓃𝒶𝓈 𝒜𝓁𝑒𝒹𝑜 𝒮𝓊𝑔𝒶𝓇 ✨🍭
“Willow” is one of those horses who we weren’t exactly shopping for, but one we ended up buying anyway. (I’m sure plenty of my FB friends know how that goes.)
We were looking at a different horse, and her kind eye and athletic disposition won us over (rest assured, we bought BOTH 😂). A quick Google search informed us that her dam’s sire earned 400K heading and heeling, and her paternal grandsire was an international world champion producer. And it was obvious the people who owned her at the time had no idea what they had.
This mare has a nice full body, deep heart girth and cute, well proportioned ears. She is 6 panel NN, and is heterozygous black and homozygous dun. Her breeding is nothing to scoff at, either.
- Mr. Joe Glo sired 204K NRHA money, was a leading sire in the reining horse industry in his day.
- Gay Bar Lena earned $31,000 NCHA money and sired even more than that. He was one of the more prolific Doc Olena (LTE 22K, AQHA hall of fame) sons.
- Docs Lynx was an NCHA earner that sired $40,000 NRHA and millions in the cutting horse sect.
And I already touched on her maternal and paternal grandsires.
Very pleased to call this mare ours (at least for a time), and just wanted to show off what a pretty girl she is. I think we’ll be looking for a boyfriend for her who isn’t Blue, since it would be fun to have a grulla or dun horse next year. 😛
