Did you know that cold temperatures warrant equine massage?

When outdoor horses are in the cold temperatures for long periods of time, they use a ton of their energy "hu***ng up" to help stay warm. This can cause a lot of muscle fatigue and pain.

Horses in prolonged stall rest tend to become sore in their backs, have muscle discomfort, and have stiff joints.

Massage increases circulation, helping to warm up and relax sore, stiff muscles.

We do all we can to keep our horses well cared for during cold weather. Our follow up to these temperatures should to bring our partners back into working condition by preventing injury. Massage is a very helpful part of this process.

I have limited appointment spaces for this week, January 14th to 20th.

I really enjoyed massaging these athletes this weekend.
They were both competing at Paramount Equestrian Centre's Summer Classic horse show!
It was exciting to give them the upper edge in their classes!

Today I met Ella. She is a 17 year old Canadian Warmblood Mare.
There were no underlying concerns, and her rider wanted to give her a bit of pampering. I'm so glad she did! What a lovely mare.
