Lottie Daley Awaiting open heart surgery

We spoke to the Professor this evening who has told us he is delighted with Lottie’s progress. She continues to improve daily. Further bloods and scans have been taken today and everything is normal. The only upsetting thing is Lottie is a very sensitive girl and she is fretting for us. The Professor feels now she is stronger he will discharge her early to fully rest and recuperate at home in familiar surroundings with her Mum and Dad. We are truly grateful to the RVC cardiology team for taking such good care of her. It really is a centre of excellence. We are off in the morning to collect her!!!! We will continue to post updates on her recovery at home.

Lottie would like to wish everyone at mighty hearts a very merry Christmas and a happy new year. A very special mention goes to the wonderful heart surgery team at the RVC where Lottie had successful surgery 5 years ago. Dan, Alison, Sarah and many others got her through ground breaking surgery and gave her amazing care. We are forever grateful and will never forget them. Lottie hopefully is inspiration to other pups who are waiting for surgery, miracles really do happen. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

We have good news, Lottie had her check at the RVC today and they are really pleased with her. This is 3 years post surgery The cardiologist said her surgeon has done an amazing job as her heart looks normal and the repair is hardly visible. Her heart is no longer enlarged so she has made great progress. They have fitted her with a monitor for 24hrs to check her heart rate as they are hoping to take her off her meds. We are absolutely thrilled. 😃xx

Hi all We have good news, Lottie had her check at the RVC today and they are really pleased with her. The cardiologist said her surgeon has done an amazing job as her heart looks normal and the repair is hardly visible. Her heart is no longer enlarged so she has made great progress. They have fitted her with a monitor for 24hrs to check her heart rate as they are hoping to take her off her meds. She even had a little cuddle fro Dan Brockman. We are absolutely thrilled. 😃xx
