Old Scratch Rescue seeks to reduce companion animal over population, assist in control and care for feral animals, place pets in loving homes and offer refuge for animals in need. Our programs:

Cat Adoption
We find homes for the cats that stay at our shelter. Awareness
We support TNR (trap, neuter, release) programs to help reduce the feral cat population. Education
We share articles and informat

ion to help everyone be a better pet parent. Pet Healthcare
All of our animals receive vet care and support. Lost & Found
We work with our local community to get lost pets back home. Foster House
We assist other rescue organizations by providing safe harbor. has been organized exclusively for the prevention of cruelty to animals including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or corresponding section of any future federal tax code. Within these limits, Old Scratch Rescue Inc. is dedicated to providing shelter, sanctuary, medical care and adoption services for abandoned, stray and feral companion animals in Middle Tennessee. will work with humane societies, other animal rescue groups, the public and governmental agencies to offer relief from pet overpopulation. Ash had an antibiotic injection Friday afternoon. The vet believes that the eye is still inside the skull and that his skull may just be misshapen, but he was too malnourished to know for sure. He’s eating really well and we are optimistic. Only time will tell what happens with Ash and his eyes.

Physical therapist tried to change routine this morning and go to the mat first, to which Shögun rioted by bouncing around everywhere. So, he won and they’re doing water treadmill first (like normal) and the therapist is having to play the game where she give Shö a treat and he drops it in the water to see who grabs it first. One sunk before she could get it.
