This is Esme. She is from Agadir in Morocco and shortly after her puppies had drowned in a storm drain she followed my friend Pete home and sat outside his house. She was broken and vulnerable and she could tell that Pete could help her. She refused to leave, and did not move for nearly a week. He fed her and put blankets out but they were stolen by the local children, who were also throwing stone
s and tormenting her. Pete has two dogs that are not always friendly so he couldn't take her in himself. He kept posting pictures of her until I just couldn't take it anymore. He muzzled his dogs and brought her inside, gave her a bath and food and in the morning took her to Le Caniche Ranch where she would stay until she was ready to come home to me. It was a long process, with some stresses on the way, but totally worth it. She is such a wonderful, silly dog and has fitted in perfectly with my Girl Robyn.
