Our Story!
My name is Denise Fahr and I’m the owner and operator of Austin’s Pet Concierge. I’m a German national and moved to Austin last summer. I have always been a big animal lover and grew up with cats and rabbits as my mum used to foster cats for a cat rescue company. I started volunteering and fostering for the local animal shelter last year where I had the chance to attend several dog and cat behavior trainings to gain more experience on how to handle different types of dogs/cats in different situations. I also fostered my first dog Mocca, a one year old pit bull mix that was scared of the entire outside world. After 6 months of lots of love, care and socialization I wasn’t able to give this sweet girl away for adoption and adopted her myself.
As a dog owner myself I know that life as a dog parent is very rewarding but can be very stressful at the same time. Balancing your work and family life, travel plans and the needs of your furry friends can be difficult at times and that’s why we want to help Austin’s pet parents to have a more guilt free and relaxed life! Therefore, I’ve decided at the beginning of this year to finally pursue my dream of working full time with animals and I believe it was the best decision I’ve made ! I hope we’ll be able to help as many busy Austin pet parents as we can. We are looking forward to meet you and your furry friends soon.
