UPDATE! Day 14 with the July hoarder…
So as of this morning, all of my cages are full so I couldn’t pull anyone from the property today. And there’s more sad news… a second orange kitten has crossed the rainbow bridge… just heartbreaking… These poor babies are so young and so sick and never got any nutrients from mom because she just didn’t have any to give! We have to take solace in the fact that they didn’t die alone on a disgusting garbage pile. They were warm, safe and loved even if it was only for a short time. We fall in love with each and every cat and kitten we put our hands on. I’m ecstatic to pull them from hell and then we are devastated to lose them. I say WE because this is not just my fight! It’s the vets and techs who rush to help them when I come into the hospital. It’s the fosters who care for them like one of their own, it’s all of you who have supported us and helped us help them. I’ve dragged every single one of you into this godforsaken project with me. I sure couldn’t have done this all alone! We ALL genuinely love them. All the more because of what they’ve already been through in their short little lives. It’s like losing one of our own. It IS losing one of our own…
More bad news… my favorite garage kitten, Poppi is still struggling to p**p. Dr Anna gave her an e***a, washed her tiny heiney and did a thorough exam. It’s suspected that she may have mega colon which is not good news at all. From what I understand… If it’s genetic she will have this painful condition forever. If she has it as a result of having had diarrhea her whole life there is a chance she can recover. For the time being we are doing some uncomfortable treatments so she can have some relief. I’ll be adding some Miralax to her food to make it less painful to go. Please keep this beautiful and sweet purr baby in your prayers. We can’t lose her… 😭😭😭😭
Some better news…
Dr Anna and I worked up the 4th cat from yesterday, the one in the trap. He is a young male less than 2 years old, already suffering from stomatitis. Yesterday his nose was gushing with snot. Today being out of the heat and humidity and out of hell, he’s already looking better. 🎉 He is still congested and still needed meds and fluids and flea treatment and dewormer and and and…. But what a love bug! I was flea combing him today and he was rolling over and pushing his head into my hands. I wish I had another hand to take a video. He’s the sweetest monkey. Since he spent most of his life sitting on a garbage pile on the shelf in the garage and he has an interestingly shaped bridge of his nose we decided to name him ELF. 🥰 He’s all settled in and loving his clean digs and all the wet food he can eat! I can’t get over how quickly some of these cats and kittens go from literally climbing the walls in fear to trusting purr babies after all the mistreatment and neglect they’ve suffered… I told Elf yesterday while he was flipping out in the trap that it was the luckiest day of his life. I think he believes me now. 😻😊
More good news! Nathaniel made it through the night AND ate most of his breakfast this morning! 🎉Woot!Woot! We are still not out of the woods by any means but we are certainly heading in the right direction!
More fabulous news! The J crew: Joey, Jenni and Jasmine went into foster today with a previous adopter and now friend Cassie and her son Logan who is a self proclaimed cat guy! Love him! This one is the next generation of cat rescuers! ❤️😻😘🥰
As always, we are in desperate need of fosters, food and funds. Long and short term fosters are needed for the adults as well now.
I have 9 cages at my disposal. With kittens I could put 2-3 or even 4 in a cage with adults that’s just too tight. I need YOUR HELP to make any more forward progress on this horrible situation. With 46 animals already removed, we are not even half way there… 😳
I’m doing the best I can but more help is needed, just a few weeks in a spare bedroom or bathroom would be amazing. You would be saving lives!
We still need canned kitten food the most. We are sending home kitten food with all the fosters. We are feeding it to the adults as well to fatten them up. They are all so so skinny!

Funds are also needed for the vetting of all these cats. 4 Paws Animal Hospital has generously discounted the care for these cats but it’s still very expensive just from the sheer number of cats coming through… Donations are gratefully accepted on our website AllFurLove.org or Venmo.

All these sweeties will need homes when they are feeling better. Adoption applications are on our website! PLEASE SHARE so we can help find all these hoarder babies homes!❤️
