UPDATE! Day 14 with the July hoarder…

So as of this morning, all of my cages are full so I couldn’t pull anyone from the property today. And there’s more sad news… a second orange kitten has crossed the rainbow bridge… just heartbreaking… These poor babies are so young and so sick and never got any nutrients from mom because she just didn’t have any to give! We have to take solace in the fact that they didn’t die alone on a disgusting garbage pile. They were warm, safe and loved even if it was only for a short time. We fall in love with each and every cat and kitten we put our hands on. I’m ecstatic to pull them from hell and then we are devastated to lose them. I say WE because this is not just my fight! It’s the vets and techs who rush to help them when I come into the hospital. It’s the fosters who care for them like one of their own, it’s all of you who have supported us and helped us help them. I’ve dragged every single one of you into this godforsaken project with me. I sure couldn’t have done this all alone! We ALL genuinely love them. All the more because of what they’ve already been through in their short little lives. It’s like losing one of our own. It IS losing one of our own…
More bad news… my favorite garage kitten, Poppi is still struggling to p**p. Dr Anna gave her an e***a, washed her tiny heiney and did a thorough exam. It’s suspected that she may have mega colon which is not good news at all. From what I understand… If it’s genetic she will have this painful condition forever. If she has it as a result of having had diarrhea her whole life there is a chance she can recover. For the time being we are doing some uncomfortable treatments so she can have some relief. I’ll be adding some Miralax to her food to make it less painful to go. Please keep this beautiful and sweet purr baby in your prayers. We can’t lose her… 😭😭😭😭
Some better news…
Dr Anna and I worked up the 4th cat from yesterday, the one in the trap. He is a young male less than 2 years old, already suffering from stomatitis. Yesterday his nose was gushing with snot. Today being out of the heat and humidity and out of hell, he’s already looking better. 🎉 He is still congested and still needed meds and fluids and flea treatment and dewormer and and and…. But what a love bug! I was flea combing him today and he was rolling over and pushing his head into my hands. I wish I had another hand to take a video. He’s the sweetest monkey. Since he spent most of his life sitting on a garbage pile on the shelf in the garage and he has an interestingly shaped bridge of his nose we decided to name him ELF. 🥰 He’s all settled in and loving his clean digs and all the wet food he can eat! I can’t get over how quickly some of these cats and kittens go from literally climbing the walls in fear to trusting purr babies after all the mistreatment and neglect they’ve suffered… I told Elf yesterday while he was flipping out in the trap that it was the luckiest day of his life. I think he believes me now. 😻😊
More good news! Nathaniel made it through the night AND ate most of his breakfast this morning! 🎉Woot!Woot! We are still not out of the woods by any means but we are certainly heading in the right direction!
More fabulous news! The J crew: Joey, Jenni and Jasmine went into foster today with a previous adopter and now friend Cassie and her son Logan who is a self proclaimed cat guy! Love him! This one is the next generation of cat rescuers! ❤️😻😘🥰
As always, we are in desperate need of fosters, food and funds. Long and short term fosters are needed for the adults as well now.
I have 9 cages at my disposal. With kittens I could put 2-3 or even 4 in a cage with adults that’s just too tight. I need YOUR HELP to make any more forward progress on this horrible situation. With 46 animals already removed, we are not even half way there… 😳
I’m doing the best I can but more help is needed, just a few weeks in a spare bedroom or bathroom would be amazing. You would be saving lives!
We still need canned kitten food the most. We are sending home kitten food with all the fosters. We are feeding it to the adults as well to fatten them up. They are all so so skinny!

UPDATE… Day 13 with the July hoarder… ANOTHER LONG FREAKIN’ DAY!
Today was a great day and an absolutely terrible day… I tend to want to start with the bad stuff so we end on a happy note at least… So… I’m just gonna jump right in… First thing this morning I got to help clean up a kitty miscarriage on the kitchen counter… Yep, you read that right… If you could think of the grossest thing you’ve ever seen and smelled and then multiply that by like a million, that’s what it was like… yep… and that’s all I’m gonna say about that… 🤢🤮
A small tidbit of info that I got from the caretaker while completing that task was that she’s seen several litters of kittens born in the house with their intestines on the outside… Wait, what?! WTAF?! Now wouldn’t that kinda be a catalyst to STOP THE CATS FROM REPRODUCING?! Maybe it’s just me, but I’m pretty sure the average person would wanna stop that from ever happening again… one kitten would have been enough for me but several litters? C’mon!!!!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 I can’t make this s**t up!
More horrible news…. We lost another kitten… Our beautiful 4 week old calico was struggling very badly today. She’s been sick and weak since the beginning but we wanted to give her every chance. She took a turn for the worst and we had to make the extremely difficult and extremely emotional decision to euthanize her tonight. Today was a rough one… I seriously have to continually remind myself to focus on the good because the bad will absolutely break you. The amount of suffering I’ve witnessed in the last 13 days is incredible… and the super s**tty part about all of this is… IT COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED. NONE of this had to happen. Two simple surgeries and all this bulls**t and nonsense wouldn’t have even started! I can’t take it…
Ok, so, let’s move on to happier things…
A huge shout out to my friends who loaned me bigger kitten traps and gave me tuna cause look what I got!!! BOTH BABIES! 🎉
You can’t imagine the relief! Look at her poor eye! Both girls, Gemma and Georgia, allowed bathing although Georgia expressed her disapproval until she realized all the itchies stopped. They are set up together and understandably scared so tomorrow we will start their medication regimen.
Then there was a kitty on the kitchen counter who didn’t move when I came in the house. I extended my hand and he let me pet him… poor thing felt so crappy he didn’t even run from me. I went back out and grabbed a carrier and some food and put it right in front of him but he didn’t even want it. I opened the carrier and put the food in and he literally walked in. I moved the food in front of him, gently closed the door and he started eating. I left him alone for awhile so he could eat but even an hour later he had only eaten a few bites. He is an adult cat who is three and a half pounds. He is the weight of a 14 week old kitten. He’s starving, dehydrated, so sick he can barely breathe or eat, he has flea bite dermatitis so badly his fur is thin and has patches missing. He’s a mess! I couldn’t leave him there… He’s my second adult pull from the hoarder. At the hospital, he didn’t want to come back out of the carrier but once he realized the water was warm and it stopped the constant itch of the fleas he chilled out and let me bathe him. He needed emergency care: fluids, antibiotics, flea treatment, the works, ugh.. poor munchkin! I set him up on a nice cozy cage with a soft blanket and a dish of food and he just seemed too exhausted to eat. We named him Nathaniel and I hope and pray that I got him out in time.
The last cat of the day was the one I’ve walked past in the garage every single day. He’s always sleeping on a pile of garbage next to the door. The first few days he ran… the next few days he let me put a dish of food next to him…. Today he let me pet him… so today he was rescued. He followed me out of the garage onto the driveway and I tossed the dish of food in the trap. He went about half way in when he started to charge his mind… yeah I didn’t let that happen. I pushed his little behind in there and shut the trap! MAN OH MAN was he angry! But he’ll soon realize that today is actually the best day of his life! We are letting this guy chill overnight before working him up.
And just like that all my cages are full again… I can’t pull anymore kitties from hell unless we have more fosters who can make room. Please let us borrow your bathroom so we can save more babies like Georgia and Gemma and more sick but super sweet adults like Nathaniel.
We also still need cat food please, both canned kitten food and canned adult food. Our Amazon wish list makes it easy to help!

Donations or deliveries from chewy can be sent to 330 Mounts Corner Dr., # 530, Freehold, NJ 07728

And funds are also desperately needed. So much emergency care, even though our vetting is generously discounted it’s still very expensive. Just the sheer number of cats that need vetting creates an astronomical cost.
45 cats and kittens have been removed so far and I’m not even sure we are half way there. It will cost upwards of $400 per cat to get them ready for adoption. 45 x 400 = $18,000. 🤯😳 PLEASE HELP! We want to pull as many animals as possible but we need your help!
Donations are gratefully accepted on our website AllFurLove.org or Venmo.

UPDATE! Day 12 with the July hoarder…
Ok, so, I’m telling you right off the bat there is a photo that might be a little gross (cat p**p) to some but it’s part of the update so just be prepared…
So, as I was sitting there trapping this morning I start to realize that the kittens that would have fit in my kitten traps last week are starting to look big. Thanks to all of you ❤️ that’s what almost 2 weeks of unlimited food and better nutrition looks like! I need larger kitten traps! So my amazing friend Michele loaned me her 2 traps and my other amazing friend Francesca (yep, we have the same name 🤣) gave me some cans of tuna. So tomorrow I’m ready for bear! 🎉🎉🎉 We did manage to trap one baby that squished herself in the smaller trap so we did get lucky today. I took Cindy back to 4 Paws for a nice warm bath, flea treatment, meds, (especially eye meds) and put her in a comfy cage on a fleece blanket with as much food as she could possibly eat! How stinking cute is she?!
In other news…
Fluffy is doing much better today! Look at her!? Is that even the same cat from yesterday? She ate ALL her food overnight, every morsel! And is as sweet as sugar today. She leans into your hand when you scratch under her chin. I really think she’s so grateful to be out of that stinky, dirty environment. Look at that photo of her blanket from overnight… those black flecks are all dead fleas from the treatment she got yesterday. 🤢🤮 All those fleas were left even AFTER a Dawn bath. I’m telling you these are some industrial fleas! Fluffy’s had a full day of meds and is still having trouble breathing but hopefully after some tests this week we’ll get a better handle on what’s happening with her.

And now… poor Poppi… I was accusing my little munchkin of not using the litter box and p**ping in her bed. It turns out she IS using the box but she can’t manage to get all the p**p out and it’s getting stuck in her little behind… she runs to her bed to try to get it out because it’s so uncomfortable! And while she’s sleeping it kinda, well, oozes out on its own. I told you it was gross… This poor kitten goes from having liquid diarrhea to having solid p**p getting stuck in her little sphincter! Ugh! We are hoping that this will settle down once she’s finished with all her rounds of dewormer but this is something we will definitely need to continue to help her out with and keep an eye on. We are ready to treat her for whatever is needed. My poor garage baby! 😿

And last but certainly not least… we are still in need of fosters, food and funds! I was over the moon when I got home from a long day to find my side steps covered in gifts for the kitties from all of you! Thank you so so much for continuing to send food and supplies! We are blowing through cat food like nobody’s business. Kitten food is still needed as well as litter. Now that they’re settling in and aren’t so scared the kittens are starting to play and would love some toys as well. ❤️ Our Amazon wish list makes it easy to help!

We have pulled 41 kittens from the property with 36 live kittens in care and 1 adult. It’s clear that some of these animals will need expensive treatment to get them well probably for the first time in their lives. It will take a minimum of 30 days to clear them of all the parasites they have. That’s at least 30 days of food, litter and medical care each! 😳
As of right this minute, it will cost, at the very minimum (37x$400) $14,800 to get all these kitties ready for adoption. Please help us with this seemingly insurmountable cost. Donations are gratefully accepted on our website AllFurLove.org or Venmo.

I’ll pass along photos of the kittens in foster later in the week. Adoption applications are on our website. PLEASE SHARE so we can get all these little ones forever homes! ❤️😻 THANK YOU! 😻❤️

UPDATE!! Day 11 with the July hoarder…

We have great news and we have sad news today… I’ll start with the sad news… the last bottle baby who was found on Day 7 with her 2 deceased siblings, crossed the rainbow bridge to meet them this morning. She had the best possible chance but she was so tiny and so cold and I have no idea if she was even fed once before I found her. She knew love in her short little life and that’s really all we want, isn’t it? My heart aches for her and now it’s all about not letting her and all the others die in vain. She will be remembered! She mattered! She was loved! ❤️❤️❤️
Ok…. Deep breath…
Now on to all the AMAZING NEWS!!! The super sick cat we have been after since day 1 was caught today. This is the kitty the girls kept hearing struggling to breathe under the couch. The one from the photo of Day 10! Yes! Her! Fluffy! After much bribery with food she couldn’t even eat, the caretaker was able to get her in a carrier. She was pretty upset and started open mouth breathing so I hurried her over to see Dr. Anna. As you can see from the photos she was covered in fleas and lice and who knows what else because she was too sick to even groom herself. After a nice warm Dawn bath Sam dried her off, removed several ouchy mats and she weighed in at less than 4 pounds. According to the caretaker she is 2 and a half years old. That means Fluffy weighs less than a 16 week old baby. WTF?!!! It’s unfathomable to me that this cat has survived in this condition for over 2 years. 2 years of suffering ends today! She got a myriad of meds to jump start her on the road to recovery! We are going to fatten her up and make her feel like new! ❤️😻❤️ Tonight she is sleeping on a CLEAN comfy blanket with plenty of clean food and water. Next week we will continue tests to see what’s going on with this little love! ❤️

Other fantastic news I have for you!
Six more kittens went into foster today! An amazing young lady, Morgan, who fed colonies for me before she went to college is home for the summer so she took the K babies home to foster. A long time friend and volunteer Christie jumped at the chance to help and took the sassy B babies home. She has lots of experience with socialization so those kittens are in great hands.
And a new friend, Cassidy and her amazing hubby, Chris, took Hattie home to foster today! Hattie is a special needs baby!
I am so grateful for the outpouring of support for all these beautiful deserving kitties.
But…
We still need more help! We need fosters, food and funds. Please help us help them.
If you ever wanted to give fostering a try, now is the time! We supply all the vetting, food and litter, you supply the love! We still have 8 kittens and 1 sweet adult who need foster. There are more kittens that need to be pulled out but we need cage space to do it. Please consider giving fostering a go!
The kittens are feeling better and have voracious appetites. We feed them canned food 2-3 times a day. Each kitten consumes over 60 cans of food a month. 60 x 35 kittens eating on their own is over 2,100 cans of kitten food a month! 😳😳😳 And of course more food means more p**p so litter is also super appreciated! Our Amazon wish list makes it easy:

Donations from Chewy or wherever you prefer to shop can be sent to 330 Mounts corner Dr. #530, Freehold, NJ 07728.

And of course we need more funds. Dr Anna noted today that the older the cats are the sicker they seem to be. We would like to start bringing into care some of the nicer adults. They are all skinny and in terrible shape. The number of cats we save is directly related to the amount of funds we raise for them. Each sickly cat/kitten is estimated to cost over $400 to get ready for adoption. Donations are gratefully accepted on our website AllFurLove.org or Venmo.

I also just wanted to mention that today is my 22nd wedding anniversary. I am so incredibly lucky to have a husband who has stood by my side through every rescue, every victory and every heartbreak. He’s my shoulder to cry on and my greatest cheerleader. He’s put up with a lot of s**t, quite literally, over the last 22 years and I’d like to thank him tonight for his unconditional love and support. I couldn’t possibly do it without him.❤️

UPDATE! Day 10 with the July hoarder…
Unfortunately I don’t have any good news from the property today… as I was pulling around the corner to the house I saw one of the kittens, the three month old fluffy black girl, dead in the road. She was clearly hit by a car. I won’t describe to you in gruesome detail what I saw but it was clear she passed quickly and not very long before I got there… I carefully scooped her up, wrapped her in a soft blanket, brought her back to the hospital and prepared her for cremation. Ughhhhhhhhh!!!!!! Ok…
We are not going to focus on the s**tty aspects of this godforsaken project so we are moving along to much happier things this evening! Take a look at all these awesome fosters with their hoarder babies!!!! We have 22 kittens currently in foster! All getting socialization, medication, all the food they can possibly eat and LOVE! ❤️🥰 Such a freakin’ amazing thing we all made happen! Every single person who donated something: food, litter, supplies, time, energy, funds, a spare bathroom, cage space… you all made this happen! A new lease on life for 22 kittens.
AND!!!! Our awesome friend Joan made catnip toys for all the hoarder kittens to take home with them to foster. Their very first toys!
And I can’t believe I forgot to add those to the Amazon wish list! Of course kittens need toys! ❤️ It’s really quite amazing what can be done when we all pull together! Thank you to all my fosters and to everyone who has already helped with this project in any capacity. We are all making a huge difference!
But!!! We still need more help! 😊😊😊😊
As always we need fosters, food and funds! Fosters experienced in the socialization of sassy and/or shy kittens would be amazing. I would like to give as many of these kittens a chance at a new life. I’m starting to pull out bigger kittens, 3-4 months old, and they are doing wonderfully! They have allowed meds and bathing and cage cleaning but they’re still shy. They’ll need a bit of work to learn to trust humans. If you have a little space and a lot of free time, we’d love your help! 😻😻😻😻 At the current moment we have 14 more kittens that need foster before I can pull anymore in.
Fancy Feast canned kitten food and litter is still desperately needed. And I think the babies would love some toys too! Our Amazon wish list makes it easy to help!

Donations from Chewy or wherever you prefer to shop can be sent to 330 Mounts Corner Dr., #530 Freehold, NJ 07728

We still need funds! All kittens will be fully vetted before adoption to the tune of $400 each! Our bill at 4 Paws, although discounted, grows daily! Donations are gratefully accepted on our website AllFurLove.org or Venmo.

All these sweethearts will need homes! Adoption applications are on our website. Please SHARE so we can find the perfect homes for all these deserving babies!
Thank you so so much! ❤️😘😻🥰

UPDATE! Day 9 with the July hoarder…
So… I bait my kitten traps and set one under the tree leading to the barn and I hear something above my head. A kitten sitting in the tree! I reach up and nab a little black baby right off the bat! 🎉🎉🎉 The caretaker was not on property today so it was nice and quiet… lots of cats around… so I set some kitten traps and waited… half hour later I caught a cousin or step sister to the garage babies. This one is a little bigger. I was so proud of myself that I caught the last kitten in the garage… ummmm… nope… 2 minutes later and her 2 siblings showed themselves but were not hungry enough to go in the traps. 🤦🏼‍♀️ We are still feeding regularly so the adult cats aren’t all circling the kitten traps when the babies are trying to get in… however it looks like we’ll have to start to at least withhold wet food because 2 hours of these monkeys hanging around and nobody is hungry enough to go in… that or I gotta get some better bait…
Just sitting there quietly in the driveway I’m realizing the enormity of the situation. I took a photo in front of me of what I thought was my favorite disheveled black cat and then she walks past me from behind… then another and another… black cat… black cat… there are a few other colors but black is a dominant gene so… 🙄
Some of these cats are so sick I can hear them breathing before I actually see them. 😿
I tried to lure a very sick juvenile into a carrier and he actually went in a bit but then backed out.
The guy with the huge hole in his neck showed up and the Siamese guy but many more passed through quickly that I haven’t seen before today.
I texted the caretaker to tell her what I’ve trapped so far and she gives me the description of 5 kittens she saw early this morning. None of which are the ones I’m currently looking at… 😩
I give up on the outside crew and head inside with my kitten trap. As I walk in through the garage door to the kitchen I disturb probably a dozen cats who scurry in all directions. My hands don’t work that fast so I only got a shot of a couple. There’s a poor little sick black baby in a box who lets me get close but not close enough to grab. She climbs some “stuff” to get onto the kitchen counter and then the table.. I gently place my kitten trap on the table and go back outside.
I’ve been on property for several hours and the caretaker returns… time to head out… I go inside to collect my trap and thank goodness the sick little black baby from the box is in it!🎉🎉🎉
Today was a good day!
I head back to 4 Paws with my precious cargo. And we get my three munchkins bathed, flea combed, medicated and fed. Our FIV/FeLv tests came in so Dr Anna, Dr Angela and I stayed until late this evening testing, weighing, flea treating, feeding and cleaning the 15 kittens waiting to go to foster. Every kitten was neg/neg! 🎉🎉🎉 So I delivered 2 more kittens to foster on my way home. Tomorrow we will be bathing and flea combing everybody again so more babies can go to foster.
As always we need fosters, food and funds. More kittens keep showing up everyday and almost all the cages at 4 Paws are full. In order to rescue more, we need experienced fosters who have the time and talent to socialize some shy babies and medicate them. All the kittens are understandably scared but after a bath and a good meal in a comfy cage they chill out tremendously. A full belly does wonders for the temperament. They just need a little TLC.
The kittens, as sick as they are, are eating very well. I feel like they are making up for lost time! Kitten food and litter is greatly appreciated! Our Amazon Wish List makes it easy to help.

Our bill at the hospital for the kittens is already up to $900 and we are only 9 days in to this adventure. We have many more weeks to go. A huge thank you to everyone who has already sent food, supplies, and donations. Because of all of you, these babies get a second chance at a life filled with love and luxury instead of sickness and starvation.

UPDATE! Day 8 with the July hoarder…
Ok… so after my meltdown yesterday, I decided we should focus on the positive today… So far we have removed 34 live kittens from the property. 34 kittens who will not have to live in filth, who will have all the clean food and water they could ever want, who will be spoiled rotten and know LOVE and most importantly WILL NEVER REPRODUCE! We stop this tragedy here! Today! Right now! Hopefully soon they will never even remember the hell hole they came from. That is our job with these munchkins now! Our mission is to find them FOREVER HOMES to make them forget. And when I say our mission, I mean mine, yours, your friends, everybody you know can SHARE this so we can get these monkeys PERFECT HOMES! Look at those freakin’ faces! 😻❤️
I just have to mention, that if you look closely, all the cages have matching fleece blankets today. That’s because one of the awesome 4 Paws vet techs, Samantha, who is also fostering babies BTW, who also came out on site to help get us in that barn, made all those for the babies waiting to go to foster. How cute are they?!
We managed to grab only one kitten today but one is better than none!
AND… even better news! The caretaker texted me tonight and some of the kittens who have been missing for two days because of the plowing are starting to double back. She saw a handful this evening. THANK GOODNESS!
I will be on site again tomorrow and hopefully we will be back in business! 😻❤️
As always, we need FOSTERS, FOOD and FUNDS… and today I realized we also need paper towels… like lots of paper towels… cleaning this number of kittens thoroughly requires a ton of paper towels… LOL
They’re on our Amazon Wish List now along with some natural cleaner. Please please?

https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2T7PTRCWGK9YI?ref_=wl_share

Donations from Walmart or other places where paper towels are inexpensive can be sent to 330 Mounts Corner Dr. #530, Freehold, NJ 07728

Hey, another cool thing I can mention is that unbelievably every kitten except one is using the litter box! Pretty amazing, right? After being able to p**p wherever and whenever these kittens have naturally used the litter box. Can you guess which one isn’t using the litter box? OF COURSE, IT’S MY GARAGE BABY, POPPI! LMAO! So we also need lots of litter… so we can teach Poppi not to p**p in her bed. 🤦🏼‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Funds are still needed of course! Every kitten will be fully vetted before adoption. And I can’t even do accurate math anymore because the kittens just keep coming in… the amount we need to cover expenses just keeps going up! That’s cat math I guess. Donations are gratefully accepted on our website AllFurLove.org or Venmo.

Again… Please SHARE! These monkeys all need homes! Adoption applications are on our website!

Finally, I just wanted to say thank you for all the kind words of support on yesterday’s post. All the sweet texts I got from friends and all the amazing updates I received from previous adopters (who are now my friends) of their kitties. It was an amazing reminder that together we can all make a difference. Updates of my past babies, because yes, in my heart, they are all mine, make my day!
❤️ Thank you! ❤️
