We embrace how tightly knit the Dart Frog Community that has already been established. We want to serve that community well. But, at the same time to provide great support, knowledge and welcome the new comers to this amazing hobby. Our staffs at DartFrog Connection have diverse backgrounds in the hobby and many of us have been keeping dart frogs for years. Our in-house staff biologist and zoologist have traveled around the world working in the field of wildlife conservation. Our team members have been working in the pet industry, and have a great depth of experience in advising pet lovers. DFC’s dart frog breeding team consists of a group of experts that have been in the dart frog community for many years. CEO / Owner of DartFrog Connection :
Daniel Tsai grew up on an exotic bird farm, breeding rare parrots to giant emus - but his love for animals didn’t stop with birds. He has been keeping and breeding reptiles and amphibians for over 20 years. His passion and his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Wildlife Zoology have led him around the world for conservation projects like Baja California for the Save the Sea Turtles Project and Kenya, Africa for the wild game. His excitement for Dart Frogs started years ago with a simple pair of Dendrobates Azures, which got him hooked on to this amazing hobby. He is currently working on a land preservation project in Belize for the protection of native wildlife and is also in the process of helping to build an African Wildlife Sanctuary in Oregon. CHIEF OF OPERATIONS : Ray T. is a graduate of University of California, San Diego with a Bachelor of Science degree in Bio-Physics and a minor in Management Science. He is our Head of Operation. Although his background is not in the Dart Frogs, his management ability serves an essential component to the DFC’s entire production. We rely on him to keep everyone on track at DFC, our product productions on schedule as well as website and marketing optimization. OPERATION MANAGER: Wilder M. graduated from University of Southern California with Bachelor of Arts in Communication Design and Inter-media Marketing. He is responsible for the day-to-day operations at DFC. Anything from our website, product development, shipping and customer service goes through his supervision. DART FROG SPECIALIST: Taron L. joined Dart Frog Connection just two weeks before our official website launch. We are very excited to have him as part of DFC family. His knowledge with breeding and caring for Dart Frogs is impeccable. His responsibility is to care for our breeding facility and provide great customer service. He has been in the Dart Frog community for a very long time. Now that he is working with DFC, we will be able to serve the Dart Frog community with a new approach. DART FROG SPECIALIST: Brett C. graduated from University of Southern California with the Master Degree in Science Mechanical Engineering. He grew up keeping many different species of amphibians and reptiles. Dart Frog caught Brett’s attention 4 years ago. This hobby has turn into his passion. As part of the DFC team, Brett will be providing his great knowledge in raising Ranitomeya and Oophaga to DFC customers, Facebook community and forums. He is a great asset to our team. DART FROG SPECIALIST: Andre C. graduated from UC Davis with Bachelor of Science Degree. He has been keeping and breeding dart frogs for over 6 years. His success with Ranitomeya and Oophaga over the years makes him a perfect DFC Specialist to assist our customers at trade shows and developing great contents for our learning center. DARTFROG CONNECTION SUPPORT TEAM MEMBERS:
BRANDING OFFICER: Luis J. is our branding director and is responsible for our logo, the DFC website design as well as all the packaging design of DFC products. He graduated from Art Center College of Design Pasadena. Alex B. is a true hobbyist in the H**p world. Growing up in Louisiana, he was raised on a farm of exotic animals. He has worked on multiple TV and film projects as an animal ranger and trainer. Alex is also an amazing artist. As part of the DFC team, Alex’s uses his creative side to work on our product development, website imaging and social media interactions. Chris R. is our master of photography. He graduated from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. He is responsible for capturing most of the Dart Frog, plant and product images you see on our site. He is also our resident "green thumb". Todd T. is part of our social media team. He keeps us socially active in the digital world. He updates our Facebook postings and Pinterest Page. He is also the fastest at packing our orders. DARTFROG CONNECTION ADVISORY BOARD MEMBERS:
Dr. B. Tsai holds a PhD in Biology from UC Irvin. Her knowledge in the field of science and access to laboratory testing is crucial in DFC product development. Norman Fang, Owner of Norman’s Orchid and www.Orchids.com is a graduate of Cal Poly Pomona in Horticulture. He served as the Vice-President of American Orchid Society. He is currently on the Board of Trustee of American Orchid Society and an American Orchid Society Orchid Judge. We are honored to have him as part of the DFC’s Advisory Board.
