From street level to skyline: Our beehives at the Chrysler Building just made the The New York Times! 🙌

Denmark In New York chose rooftop beekeeping for a clear reason: connecting their team with nature. For their 100 employees, these hives offer daily reminders of sustainability in action.

Our beekeepers Matt Flood and Titus Ogilvie-Laing shared insights about maintaining hives in iconic Manhattan locations. As noted by our Creative Director Paige Mulhern, more businesses are discovering how urban beekeeping enhances their sustainability initiatives and employee experience while boosting biodiversity in their local environments.

The trend is clear. From the Chrysler Building to Madison Square Garden, companies are turning unused spaces into vibrant ecosystems, and we’re thrilled to help them tell this story.

We’re thrilled to announce the results of our 2023 Queen Rearing Pilot Program! 👑This program, a cornerstone of our commitment to finding innovative solutions for pollinator health, aimed to cultivate strong, resilient bee queens for hives across the U.S.

Swipe to see the truly impressive results! ➡️ Queen bees are the heart of the hive, responsible for size, strength, and resiliency of the colony. By rearing healthy, local queens, we can directly contribute to stronger, more disease-resistant hives.

A huge thank you to our incredible team and special shout out to Boston’s Head Beekeeper, Bridgette! 👏Your dedication and expertise were instrumental in this success. Stay tuned for exciting updates as we continue to grow and refine our queen rearing program!

Today’s not just a date, it’s a chance to celebrate the fascinating world of plant science! Our HoneyDNA analysis shows us how bees love to forage on a variety of crops, including male h**p and cannabis. 🐝

Did you know cannabis cultivation benefits from healthy bee populations? ➡️These busy pollinators ensure successful seed production, which is a crucial step in the overall yield.

We’re all about harnessing data to create a more sustainable future for pollinators and the agriculture industry, and it’s so interesting to take a closer look at the honey bees produce.  Let us know in the comments below what other surprising plants you think might appear in HoneyDNA!

It’s the data-driven difference. 🙌 Each city in our 21 regions has its own set of unique challenges, but one thing remains consistent every year: the high-quality care shown by our team. While this is just a snapshot of our data from the 2023 season, we’re immensely proud to announce an improved overwintering rate in most regions. Swipe for the highlights! 👉

How to spot greenwashing so you’re not fooled this Earth Month. ✅

As Earth Month approaches, we’re excited to use this as an opportunity to celebrate our planet, be transparent about our mission, and prioritize the well-being of every living organism. But we’re probably not the only business to tell you that! 👀

Unfortunately, April is also a time for some companies to take full advantage of the business benefits of sustainability through “greenwashing”. This practice deceives consumers and undermines genuine environmental efforts that are making a difference!

Swipe through to learn more about greenwashing and how to spot it before the influx of “eco-friendly” messaging begins. ➡️ We want to know: what brands do you think walk the walk when it comes to sustainability?

🐝 Advance our training protocols and education for our beekeepers.

🌾 Broaden our services to actively support native pollinators, including through habitat creation.

🔬 Publish more research conducted using the data collected from our beehives.

🤝 Partner with other organizations that share our values to expand our ecological and social impact.

We’re excited to get to work and see what this next year will bring!

Our New York team presented on how honey bees and pollinators play a role in the “gray to green” movement. They walked them through the basics of beekeeping— highlighting how these small insects can have such a big impact!

We were so inspired by the folks at ! Come back anytime!
