"We are gathered here today to celebrate the marriage of Poppy Popster to Peter"

We believe you're never to old to find love & thats certainly the situation with 8 year old Poppy.
She arrived to us 16 months ago as an unwanted breeding BRC rabbit (she had the ring on her leg)
She had lived her 7 years of life in a tiny enclosure & used for breeding & showing. She had severe muscle wastage & barely moved for months, she was terrified of everything & hid away most of the time 😢

Sadly the first boy we bonded her with past away & she reverted back to her old self again 💔
Thankfully today she has found love again & married a toy boy Peter 💙

This morning we received a call to say around 100 rabbits have been dumped in the woods in Chaddersly Corbet and luckily 56 were caught and secured in a lovely couples shed.

We have taken in 16 males and 40 females who we suspect are pregnant and they are all in a bad way. We are a small rescue run from Heathers home by a small team of 4 of us.

All of these rabbits at a minimum will need neutering/spaying and vaccinating.

We will do a more in-depth post later for now we are focusing on the bunnies and trying to work out a plan.

We have updated our wish list with things that can help and I have put our PayPal details below if anyone can donate to our foreseeable vet bill.

Bank details are below;

Or we have PayPal

We will absolutely reply to everyone’s messages with kind offers to help foster or take in the rabbits. Please bare with us.

** UPDATE 7.10am 12/11/24**
We have only recieved one potential unconfirmed sighting of Ralphie to date which we followed up, if you live in Walnut Tree or the surrounding areas please please check your gardens, sheds, outbuildings and any bushes nearby, Ralphie is out there somewhere injured and we desperately need your help to get him safe.

**UPDATE 7.30am 11/11/24 **
Sadly there have been no further sightings of Ralphie despite our Trapping Teams best efforts, please can you all keep an eye out for him and if you see him either contact us or his owners, we appreciate all your help. We will be in the area again today, let's try to get Ralphie home safe where he belongs.

Can you help?

Ralphie has escaped his carrier whilst visiting Vets Now in Walnut Tree this afternoon.

Ralphie is 14 years old and injured and he lives outside of MK so is not familiar with the area and is going to be very scared.

His last known location was bushes leading into Groundsel Close, Walnut Tree.

His owners are not on Facebook but should you spot Ralphie you can contact them on 07762146524.

We do currently have some of our cat trapping volunteers in the area with humane traps, however he may have moved so any sightings please do let us know.

Please share this post!

Many Thanks

Please give a warm welcome to our newest arrival....7 year old Emily 🐹

Emily has come from an amazing home & is well loved but sadly her partner passed away and her owners knew it wasn't fair to keep her on her own.
Piggies are herd animals and should never be kept alone, They need company of their own kind.
Her owners didn't want to get into the cycle of getting more so brought her to us to be bonded with our gang of permanent residents 💕

💔 We are heartbroken to announce the sudden passing of Penny 💔

Sadly this morning we found Penny in her forever sleep 🌈

She was such a beautiful special piggy who arrived to us 4 years ago living in a plastic storage tub, She was used for breeding live snake food 😢
She had 6 tiny babies with her and was pregnant again, Her life was back to back pregnancies and then seeing her babies fed live to a snake 🤬
Over the years she was definitely the alpha female of the herd and stood no nonsense from newbys 🐹

You will always be remembered Penny 💖
