Do you ever get the feeling you're being watched 👀
This beautiful lady arrived this evening after losing her partner & needing some new friends, Shes an older lady so hopefully will bond with our cronkies group... they certainly seem excited to meet her 💗
Luna, Lilly & Dora 🐰 aka the vampire buns as they only come out at night so had to bribe them with snacks 😋
We often take in stray/abandoned small animals & one of these was this beautiful budgie who arrived a few months ago.
Originally we thought she had french molt & thats why she didn't have any flight or tail feathers but tests have confirmed she actually has a disease called "PFBD" Psittacine Feather Beak Disease.
She's incredibly lucky to of moved to an amazing sanctuary who specialise in this & she has a friend with the same disease💖💙 With enclosure adaptions, a good diet & supplement they can lead a happy life.
Its really important if you find stray animals to contact a vet/rescue and if you have animals of the same species isolate the stray in case of disease/illness that can be easily spread.
PFBD is highly transmissible & can spread to healthy budgies 🦜
We currently have 5 permanent resident piggies here with us, They are here for a variety of health issues 🐹
