How it all started

VelasCorals is owned by Steve Velasco. Steve started out in the hobby in 2008. Within a few years he went all-in and opened up his first local fish store in 2012 located in Northern Virginia. After years of successfully running the store he eventually sold the business after moving his family to North Carolina. VelasCorals is the product of a previous local fish store owner that understands what it takes to not only earn a customer’s trust and business but how to keep it long term. You will come to find some of the most beautiful corals from around the world while also providing you with top-notch customer service. VelasCorals also brings you extensive husbandry and propagation experience to make sure you receive healthy specimens to add to your home or business aquarium to provide years of enjoyment.
