LabAdore Retrievers Rescue, Inc. is a 501 (C3) non-profit organization and community of compassionat

is a non-profit, 501c3 corporation dedicated to rescuing Labrador Retrievers and Lab mixes and connecting them with their furever homes. We focus on saving dogs that are the most at-risk in high-kill shelters and believe that all dogs – no matter the age, medical need or behavioral issue – deserve a loving home. We began as a page established in 2015 as a place for lovers of labs to share

photos, stories, information and support. We then evolved into a rescue community in early 2016 when our founder discovered Angus sitting in a shelter in Gordon County, Georgia. Our Facebook 'village' responded to her challenge and stepped up to help provide Angus with the vet care he needed before he could be adopted. Unfortunately, Angus was not able to complete his journey, but he quickly became the inspiration for our group. Today, our village is instrumental in helping us find homes for our dogs through its generous donations, fundraising efforts, networking our dogs across their pages, and – most importantly - opening up their homes and hearts for foster and adoption. LabAdore Retrievers Rescue is 100% funded by public donations and periodic fundraisers to help offset veterinary expenses, boarding fees and transportation costs. We take tremendous care in screening all potential fosters and adopters through online applications, home visits and personal interviews to ensure that the dogs are kept in safe, loving environments. LAST CALL‼️.....Sooooooo, over the past few years interest in our annual LRR Calendar has been waning and this year orders have hit an all time low, which might mean that this is our last year producing our Calendar...🫤...Not sure if it's because folks haven't seen our posts or if there just isn't as much interest anymore...🤔...Anyway, this has traditionally been a very good fundraiser for us, but it takes a considerable amount of time and effort to produce our wonderful calendar, as well as get them printed and mailed to the right addresses...As of today, we only have about 40 Calendar orders and it has come to the point where we feel that our time can be better spent elsewhere...If you would like one of our 2025 LRR Calendars, please follow the link below, so we can submit our order to the printing company ASAP and get them mailed out to you before the Holidays...Thank you so very much and hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving...❤

We have a VERY special boy who is looking for his forever home...❤...Meet Kal, whose owner surrendered him to us, because he is leaving the country and wanted to make sure his boy got the very best home...❤...Kal's owner picked him up as a stray a couple of years ago, when he found him abandoned on a ranch in Texas. Since then, Kal has been a very loyal companion...He is a very CALM boy, who knows basic commands, is house trained, very loving and just an all around good guy (see more photos in the comments below)...❤...Kal is a big, 6-7 year old, weighing in at about 150 lbs, but could stand to lose a little to protect his joints. Kal would be the perfect companion for a retired couple or someone who works from home, who live in a rural setting, as Kal is used to living in the country with his retired owner. Kal would be perfectly happy as a single dog, as people are his focus, but gets along fine with the other dogs in his playgroup, he just doesn't show any interest in playing. ‼️Please share so we can raise some funds to support this sweet boy in his time of need‼️...Please welcome Chester to our LRR family...❤...1 week ago, Chester was found abandoned in Houston Texas by a good samaritan, who could not take him home, but wanted to make sure he was off the streets. Chester was sad and very depressed at the time, but ohhhhh so sweet. (see pics in the comments below)...Being in the Houston area, Chester ended up in a large, high kill shelter, soon to be scheduled for euthanasia ...🫤...We were alerted to Chester's plight by Urgent Shelter Pets Houston and quickly secured him for rescue...Chester needs complete vetting, so we need to raise funds to cover his expenses, which include neutering, vaccinations, worming, HW testing, preventions and extended boarding @$20 per day, plus food and other supplies...In this season of giving, can you help us help Chester with a tax free donation?...Every penny will go towards Chester's care...Thank you so much for supporting this very deserving boy...❤...Chester is not yet available for adoption, but we promise to keep you posted on his progress...❤

‼️Please share‼️...Haven is now available for adoption....🥰...If you remember, we saved this sweet girl about 1/2 hour before she was to be euthanized at a huge, high kill shelter in Texas...😐...and boy are we glad we did!...Haven is a beautiful, 2 year old girl, who is petite in statue, but has a large, sunny personality and the cutest nub tail (please see more pics and videos in the comments below)...❤...Haven LOVES her toys and gleefully seeks them out...She is house trained, plays well with other dogs. is fine with cats and has clearly lived in a house, as she knows all about human beds...😅...This sweet girl currently weighs about 40 lbs, but needs to gain about 10 more to be at her ideal weight. ‼️Please share‼️...We have a very special boy available for adoption, who would love to be HOME for the Holidays...🥰...Meet Juno...😃...Juno is a 3 year old, medium energy, 80 lb. beauty, who lived a fairly quiet life with an elderly woman and a canine companion, until his owner was placed in a nursing facility and he landed in a Texas shelter...😞...Confused at first, Juno has risen to the occasion and is happily playing with his new friends in boarding, seeks out affection from his human caretakers, walks well on a leash, knows basic commands and is just an all around great dog (See videos in the comments below)...❤...How he is with cats is currently unknown...Juno is available for adoption to some lucky family who lives in the Northeast USA or Texas, who have another large dog around his age as a playmate, have a large fenced yard and time to show Juno just how good life can be...🙂...If you are interested in being considered to have Juno become part of your family, please go to our website and fill out an adoption application...We promise to be in touch promptly...❤

Remember Bella, the senior girl who was left tied in her backyard, all alone, for WEEKS, after her owner died? We saved her after a concerned neighbor contacted us, when Bella landed in a high kill shelter in San Antonio, Texas. Well, here she is about 3 months after joining her new forever mom and fur sister...🥰...Bella is the one standing and her sister, Pepper, is lying on the couch...As you can see, life is once again very good for this sweet old gal...🙂...Thanks to her adopter and all of you who supported her, Bella's dreams have come true...❤️

‼️PLEASE SHARE...Topi and Apple are now ready for adoption...🥰...I know some of you are not going to be happy, but these two have seriously bonded since being in foster together and we just don't have the heart to separate them. Apple would be devastated to be away from Topi, so we have decided to post them for adoption as a bonded pair...❤...Both of these dogs are completely vetted, house trained, happy, love to be outside sunbathing, are very well socialized with other dogs, both are very affectionate and absolutely wonderful companions for some lucky family ( See videos in the comments below⬇️)...Apple is around 9 months old...weighs about 80 lbs, but is thin and still growing...Topi is a 5 year old beauty, who is a total babysitter for all dogs, people and kids...She likes to hold hands with her people and give kisses...❤...Topi has lost 20 lbs since we saved her, but could stand to lose about 10-15 more!...Her current weight is 79 lbs...Topi enjoys chasing birds and squirrels and has chased stray cats, so a home without cats is recommended...🙂...It's hard to explain how gratifying and magical adopting a bonded pair is, but if you live in the northeast USA or Texas and are interested in finding out, please go to our website and fill out an adoption application...You can't go wrong with Topi and Apple!...Hope to hear from you soon....❤

Oh Happy Day....😃...LRR Tater has been adopted by one of our own...🙂...and we couldn't be happier...🥰...As stated in his original post, Tater was brought to a shelter in Texas as a 1 week old puppy, where one of our rescue partners works as an ACO and much more. She knew that Tater would not last long in the shelter, so she brought him home with her and became his guardian angel...❤...This ACO has extensive experience in the rescue world and knew just what to do...She bottle fed Tater, nursed him through a life threatening respiratory infection and succeeded in turning this wee boy into a stunning 8 week old, healthy pup...🥰...Well done!!!...We felt honored when the ACO reached out to us to ask for help finding Tater his perfect forever home and that we did...☺️...Tater is going to be living the life in Colorado with his work from home human parents, 7 year old human brother and fur siblings LLR Benson, LRR Gabby and Chaco...🤗...Tater will have everything he needs to grow into a happy, confident and well behaved young man - a large fenced yard to romp in safely, a family who will love him to pieces and is dedicated to continuing his training and lots of opportunity for adventure...🙂...Thank you so much for offering Tater the home of his dreams, Sarah...😘...I can't think of a better home for this sweet boy...❤

‼️Tater has been adopted by a fabulous family who have adopted from us in the past...🥰...Tater will be living the life in Colorado, with his family and 3 canine companions...❤️

We have a very special offering, who needs just the right home...❤...Meet Tater...❤...Tater was brought to a shelter in Texas when he was just about 2 weeks old. He was so young that his eyes and ears closed. Tater had no hair on his tail and back feet, because he would suckle on them to comfort himself...😞...The amazing ACO at the shelter brought Tater home, bottle fed him and nursed him through a life threatening respiratory infection...❤...Thanks to the ACO's loving care, Tater is now a happy, healthy 7 week old puppy, who is well socialized, very close to being completely house trained, rides great in a car, knows how to sit and has been raised with a gentle hand...{see video in the comments below)...🥰...Tater should grow to be 60-70 lbs, given his bone structure and current weight. The ACO who has been caring for Tater has asked us to find Tater the very best home, which will include a family who has the time and know-how to continue Tater's training, has a friendly canine companion to play with and a large, physically fenced yard for Tater to romp in safely...Tater will be ready to travel in about 1 month...If you live in the Northeast OR Texas and are interested in being considered as Tater's forever family, please follow the link below to fill out an adoption application and we will be in touch with you promptly...🙂
