is a non-profit, 501c3 corporation dedicated to rescuing Labrador Retrievers and Lab mixes and connecting them with their furever homes. We focus on saving dogs that are the most at-risk in high-kill shelters and believe that all dogs – no matter the age, medical need or behavioral issue – deserve a loving home. We began as a page established in 2015 as a place for lovers of labs to share

photos, stories, information and support. We then evolved into a rescue community in early 2016 when our founder discovered Angus sitting in a shelter in Gordon County, Georgia. Our Facebook 'village' responded to her challenge and stepped up to help provide Angus with the vet care he needed before he could be adopted. Unfortunately, Angus was not able to complete his journey, but he quickly became the inspiration for our group. Today, our village is instrumental in helping us find homes for our dogs through its generous donations, fundraising efforts, networking our dogs across their pages, and – most importantly - opening up their homes and hearts for foster and adoption. LabAdore Retrievers Rescue is 100% funded by public donations and periodic fundraisers to help offset veterinary expenses, boarding fees and transportation costs. We take tremendous care in screening all potential fosters and adopters through online applications, home visits and personal interviews to ensure that the dogs are kept in safe, loving environments. As we close out 2024, we want to thank you all for your support this year and in years past...❤...We all have made such a huge difference in the lives of the sweet dogs we have rescued...😇...It warms my heart to see the eyes of a confused dog become full of happy wonder and watch their tails come out from between their legs and start to wag...❤...We can't thank you all enough for being part of our efforts to help dogs in desperate need...If it wasn't for you, our supporters, adopters, fosters, caregivers, transport drivers, moderators, overnight hosts and transport coordinators, we couldn't do what we do...❤...That said, here's to a safe, peaceful and Happy New Year...May human kindness flourish and harmony overwhelm discord in the coming year...We are so excited to "see" you all in 2025...🎉🎉🎉

So we did this thing today...🤭...We saved Miss Daisy from a horrible situation...This poor girl had been living a happy life for 10 years with her owner and 2 canine companions. Unfortunately, one of her doggy friends died earlier this year and the other was taken to live with the owner, who moved to assisted living about a month ago...☹️...That left Miss Daisy alone in the house, with the resident cats and was only fed occasionally when the family stopped by...🥺...The family was planning on bringing Daisy to the shelter, but a friend of the family found out about Daisy's plight and started looking for solutions for her. I saw a post asking for help for Daisy at the same time that one of our dedicated transport OVN's saw it and together we decided to save her...❤️...Daisy is now safe in a comfy, loving foster home and will remain there until we get her vetted and find her the perfect home...❤️... Now is a great time for anyone looking for an end of the year tax deduction to consider donating to LabAdore Retrievers Rescue, so we can continue to help sweet Daisy and others like her...❤️...Wishing Happy Holidays to all...and to Miss Daisy, it's only blue skies from now on...Happy New Year, sweet girl....❤️

Remember LRR Hal? Hal is a Great Pyr, who we saved after he was found as a stray in Texas, starving and very depressed...😔...Well, we got Hal healthy and after a few weeks with his forever family in New England, is loving his new life...🥰...This is why we rescue...They all deserve this chance...❤️...Rescue on!

❤❤❤...Thanks to all of you animal loving folks, we have reached our giving Tuesday goal and then some...😃...But it's not too late to add to the total if you are so inclined, as the more we raise, the more dogs we can help...🙂...Just to give you an idea of our expenses, it can cost us upwards of $3500 for orthopedic surgery for a dog with a broken leg and that doesn't include all of the regular vetting they need, like spay/neuter, HW testing and treatment prn, worming, vaccines, microchip, ect...and then there are the supply and boarding expenses...But you know what?...It's worth it, because saving these precious dog's lives and limbs and seeing them smile and play again is priceless...❤...Thanks to all of you in this wonderful village, we will continue to do the best we can for the dogs we save, four paws at a time...❤...Happy, Happy Holiday Season to you and yours...❤

Remember Bella, the senior girl who was left tied in her backyard, all alone, for WEEKS, after her owner died? We saved her after a concerned neighbor contacted us, when Bella landed in a high kill shelter in San Antonio, Texas. Well, here she is about 3 months after joining her new forever mom and fur sister...🥰...Bella is the one standing and her sister, Pepper, is lying on the couch...As you can see, life is once again very good for this sweet old gal...🙂...Thanks to her adopter and all of you who supported her, Bella's dreams have come true...❤️
