We want to welcome our new Ohio instructor, Kris Johnston!

Kris is a healthcare professional who loves animals, especially dogs. She is a Canine Good Citizen Evaluator and teach classes at her local American Kennel Club. She has been training dogs personally and professionally for over 10 years. It seemed natural to Kris to combine her health care knowledge with the ability to help others learn the skills needed to care for their pets in an emergency. When she is not teaching, Kris enjoys working with her partner Tucker as a therapy team and a competition AKC Rally/Obedience team.

Not only did the attendees gain life-saving skills, but also contributed to an incredible cause—this event was a fantastic fundraiser for the rescue! 🐾

We would like to welcome Coreena Breazeale to our team of Florida instructors. Coreena is the visionary founder and lead dog trainer of ReviveK9, whose lifelong dedication to animals has shaped a remarkable journey from the ranches of Oregon to the service of the US Coast Guard and, ultimately, to the realm of professional dog training. Growing up on her grandparents' ranch, Coreena developed a profound connection with animals, solidified through volunteer work at a local animal hospital. An injury while serving in the Coast Guard shifted her path, leading her to discover the joy and healing power of animals through the station mascot, Gibbet. This pivotal experience rekindled her passion for animal work, steering her towards service dog training and professional dog training. Coreena's relentless pursuit of knowledge and hands-on experience with esteemed trainers culminated in the creation of ReviveK9. Her journey from ranch to Coast Guard and now as the driving force behind ReviveK9 is a testament to her unwavering commitment to enhancing the lives of dogs and their owners through relationship-based training. Let's welcome our newest instructor in the Midwest, Nicole Moore! Nicole has been raising and training animals most of her life, starting with 10 years in 4-H and 4 years in FFA. Now she is very active in dog sports, including Rally, Herding, and FastCAT with her 2 dogs. She recently earned the privilege of becoming an AKC judge for farm dog certification. Nicole will be teaching classes in central Indiana and Illinois. Welcome aboard, Nicole!

Cheyenne has 4 years of experience as a veterinary assistant at an AAHA-accredited general practice, she is certified in companion animal CPR and has a wealth of experience working with various species. From volunteering at an Elephant Sanctuary in Thailand to contributing at her local zoo, she is eager to expand her knowledge and educate the public. Cheyenne is committed to gaining more certifications in the future and is excited about educating pet owners in her area about CPR & first aid for their pets.

We want to welcome our newest instructor, Blake Woody! Blake will be teaching classes in the Phoenix area.

Blake has over 14 years of experience as a domestic and exotic animal trainer. Her expertise spans from core obedience, service and therapy work, public access, trick training, and behavior modification.

Blake is also the Co-Founder of Certify Canine. Certify Canine provides accessibility and accountability in the Service Dog Industry by providing a certification process for insurance to cover a Facility or Owner Trained Service Dogs. She is also a certified AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator and a member of International Association of Animal Behavioral Consultants.

Blake is an Arizona native (currently in Mesa) who wrangles her husband Michael and two sons with their three dogs.

🐾Meet Dutton, a special needs kitten with cerebellar hypoplasia (CH), a condition that causes brain damage and makes him walk wobbly. Born on the streets of Las Vegas to a malnourished mom, Dutton lost his mother and siblings early on but has shown incredible resilience and was adopted by Terri Chadwick.🐈

On April 1, 2024, Dutton faced a scary incident when he got his head stuck in a baby gate that he was attempting to jump over. Terri, his loving owner, had taken a Pet Emergency Education Pet CPR and First Aid certification class at Hearts Alive Cat Cafe in October 2023.

Terri shared, "When Dutton got stuck, I panicked as he started gasping for air and his eyes rolled back in his head. Remembering what I learned in the class, I performed CPR and mouth-to-snout resuscitation. Dutton is alive today because I knew what to do in this emergency, thanks to the class I took with Amy D’Andrea and Pet Emergency Education. Thank you both so much."
