Our Story
Zeetlegoo's Pet & People Store is now entering their 15th year of operation!
A little background - Paul and Rae Keane had an Abyssinian cat named Zeetlegoo. At 15 years of age, Zeetlegoo was found to have food allergies. Her switch to a corn-free food and the quest to find such a food in Southport prompted the establishment of Zeetlegoo's Pet & People Store in 2004. Zeetlegoo’s has taken the holistic approach and carries premium foods in more than a half-dozen brands and healthy treats with no food coloring or artificial preservatives.
We have a huge selection of pet supplies for dogs and cats including leashes and collars, beds, bowls and diners, crates, toys and much more.
We engrave ID tags while you wait - and give a FREE tag with proof of recent adoption! We gladly fill special orders for products we do not carry. We hold regular pet adoptions with local shelter animals - check our timeline for dates and times. We have taken the US Humane Society's pledge to never sell animals at our store - "We love puppies; that's why we don't sell them." Pets are welcome in our store and will receive a free treat.
