Fort Worth Abandoned Animal Alliance is a 501c3 nonprofit animal rescue in the Fort Worth, TX area. We are a 100% volunteer run organization.

We strive to focus on the shelter pets that are the least likely to leave through adoptions at shelters. We primarily take in medical, seniors & hospice, moms and puppies (or pregnant). As a nonprofit we feel this should be the area we dedicate our organization to as we can ask for public funding and apply for grants. Once medical needs are met, the pet goes up for adoption. There are some we know

will never leave our organization and they stay in our hospice program, receiving all care needed until there time with us comes to an end. We work on awareness in our community, consisting of basic care, resources for citizens to help keep their pets in their homes and heartworm awareness. We are hoping in the near future we can help our community even more with the overpopulation of pets.

Louie is about 2 years old, 60lbs, and a herding breed mix! He is a smart, energetic puppy who will never turn down a chance to play or to snuggle. He is great with older children and with dogs big and small but NOT cats! He is a natural hearding dog, so his best life may be at a home with a lot of room to run and tasks to help focus his energy. He is up to date on his shots, is neutered, house trained and crate trained, and has no known health issues.

Lacy is 6 years old. 42 pounds. House and crate trained. Dog friendly but needs slow introductions. She doesn’t like dogs who get in her face or jump on her. No kids or cats. She loves car rides and long walks. Her perfect home would be a single female who wants a dog companion. Someone who doesn’t have a lot of visitors as Lacy doesn’t like strangers in her house BUT she is super friendly when she is out and about.

Xena LOVES her humans! 😍
She has met children at events and loved them. Her favorite things are her bones and toys. She likes to sit on the couch and watch tv most nights. She is very much an emotional support girl. She knows when you are upset and she will comfort you. She has a silly side as well!
Her major downside is that she would prefer to be your one and only pet. She can get nervous and reactive around other dogs

Adopt Trooper!

Trooper is a very active typical lab! He loves anything and everyone with a pulse. He’s wild and bounces all over the place with a smile on his face. He lovessss toys and almost always needs to have a toy in his mouth, he even made sure to bring one to the vet! He knows how to throw his own toys for himself for entertainment and is great at keeping self occupied. Since he likes to have something in his mouth he needs to be supervised around the house and outside or have access to a lot of super chewy toys or bones. He will always pick his items over yours.
He is crate trained, potty trained, knows his basic commands: sit, down, stay, place, wait, leave it, touch, watch.
Loads well in the car. Runs to his kennel when asked and sits and waits for you to close the door. He loves any and all food.

We have three wonderful dogs in need of a loving home – could it be yours? These sweet pups are looking for fosters or adopters who can give them the care and attention they deserve.

🐾 Parker – Friendly, playful, and loves to cuddle. Good with older kids but needs slow intros to new dogs! Despite being a Great Dane mix he can be a little shy with his dog pals. NO cats.
🐾 Gibbs – Energetic and full of love, this dog thrives in an active home. He is in need of some socialization to be his best self but we have no doubt that he would be a wonderful companion and your best friend if someone gave him the time!
🐾 Andy – we can’t believe this big guy has spent over a year in boarding. He is calm and the perfect companion for a quiet evening at home. Gets along with everyone and all humans but may be particular about his doggy companions so a meet and greet will be needed.

“They keep passing on me because I have limited sight & am a bit more independent” 😩

Adoptable Winston loves exploring and using his strong sense of smell. He likes to get pets every now and then, he’s learning to like them more each day. Winston is more cat like and is not a lap or purse dog. He minds his business and will let you know when he wants attention. He is potty trained and will potty outside when you take him out but also uses a potty pad.

Winston has limited sight but does well in most situations. He does not like being picked up but tolerates it for a very short time like being taken outside to potty.

She knows all the commands: sit, stay, lay down, roll over, up, give kisses, come, and no. She is super smart and has become such a kind companion and seeing eye dog for her fosters blind dog. She loves walks and has great stamina. She is the perfect dog for anyone from seasoned dog owner to first timer. She is a bit of a counter surfer so you may have to watch that!
