Apologies to all who contacted me about Canny Canines. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond my control, I have had to shelve my dog sitting activities for the moment.

However you might be interested in my main business activity which is Animal Portrait Artist. Simply send me a photograph of your pet (the higher the quality and resolution, the better the results) and within days I will return to you a beautiful portrait of your beloved pet that you will treasure forever.

What is more, you are in control of the process. You let me know if you want your animal rendered in oil, pastel, watercolours or pen and ink style. You are free to choose the backdrop for your artwork. You can choose whether you would like it to be purely abstract or perhaps a beautiful landscape. Or you choose a background of your own. It’s totally up to you!

As I live in beautiful Scarborough, I would like to suggest that you might like to use one of the many gorgeous backdrops available for your artwork.

The portrait will be executed using the finest of high quality artists paper and you can choose the size required from miniature (4 x 6), miniature + (7 x 5), regular (8 x 10), regular + (10 x 12), large (16 x 14).

It will take about 3 days to complete and when finished, I will send a copy of the finished portrait for your approval. If you don’t like it, I will refund 50% of your deposit. But I think that you will love it and will be impatient to see the finished product

The finished portrait will be framed in a high quality frame and posted to you by courier next day service.

It’s sad fact that our beloved pets are with is for only a few years and so don’t miss the opportunity to record forever your beloved pet.

Going on holiday and unable to take your furry friend? Why not give your pet a holiday too? I am in Scarborough, literally a five minute walkies from the beach. I am able to take one dog up to medium size. Bigger is possible but only if they are extremely chilled and friendly. Cats, any size.

Dog walker

If you need a dog walker or sitter and want peace of mind knowing that your canine friend is in the best hands, we might be what you are looking for. My wife and I live in a luxury apartment in the centre of Scarborough, a 5-minute leisurely stroll from the beach.
I am an army pensioner who retired to lovely Scarborough two years ago. I am now looking for something to keep me active and help with the diminishment caused by the cost of living crisis.
Here are a few pointers so that you can decide whether we might be compatible with your requirements.

1. Our apartment is behind a resident-only fob door and two sets of fire doors; therefore, there is no danger of your precious pet getting out onto the road.
2. To ensure maximum care for your furry friend, we only accept one pet at a time.
3. If your pet is staying with us for four hours or less, outside exercise (preferably on the beach) will be provided once only and for a minimum of 20 minutes. If a full day is required, your dog will be walked twice.
4. Well-behaved and fully house-trained animals only, please. No puppies under the age of nine months, and definitely
no restricted breeds.
Feline friends are also most welcome.
