There are many ways for you to express your cats bladder. For Catty McCat, she’s comfortable with this “Machine Gun” style. (Like us, every cats are different) When a cat’s bladder is expressed, the expresser’s hand acts to squeeze the urine out of the bladder through the urethra, and out of the body through the urethral opening. Do let your sitter know of your cats medical requirements and always ensure that they are trained or is very familiar of the process when expressing the bladder. A good tip when hiring a cat sitter is to always do a meet up, explain to them on which handling position is your cat most comfortable with and allow them to express it during your presence.
