🌈🌈🌈 RAINBOW PAW UPDATE - Z&C 🌈🌈🌈

Today we share the incredibly sad news of the passing of two brothers, Zeke and Cesar. No matter how prepared, sending these little souls across the bridge is always a heartfelt decision, but we recognise that it is our final gift of love. So sweet and loving; their family is devastated.

As is tradition in rescue, DRBC will darken it's page today in memory of Zeke and Cesar and the phenomenal gifts of love they brought us. Godspeed boys; know you went with so very much love.

💔💔💔 RED PAW ALERT - LACEY 💔💔💔

When this adorable little girl joined DRBC we all thought her stay would be a short one…then we ran our usual battery of lab tests and were shocked to see a positive heartworm result. Talk about blown away…this is Lacey’s story. This little girl has had the roughest of starts and now this. We all know that his horrible disease could have ended her life in short order, but Lacey is one of the lucky ones. Today we are here to battle for her future and hope you will join us in turning things around for this special little girl.

We have a sad update on Bentley today. In spite of our efforts IVDD has stolen Bentley's ability to walk and it looks permenante 🙁. The bright spot in this news is that he is now pain free and zooming all over the place. What a love. We are hoping to get his new cart soon and get that acupuncture started soon, but we need your help. Please help if you can...every donation makes a difference and get Bentley that much closer to a happy healthy life. Thanks Gang!

🌺🌺🌺 PINK PAW UPDATES - CALVIN 🌺🌺🌺

Here in DRBC-land the weather is cold and wet and occasionally snowy. Some doxies get bundled up and head out into the elements, but smart ones like Calvin like to find a warm,cozy spot and settle in for a good nap. Way to go Calvin; we love you!

💜💜💜 PURPLE PAW ALERT - TURK 💜💜💜

Many of you know our spokesdox, Turk. This little guy is always out campaigning for diabetic support here at DRBC. Well earlier this week this little guy woke up with an eye that looked horrible ad you know what that means. An abcess on an upper back molar. Today we are reaching you in hopes that you will help us raise the funds needed for Turk's surgery. February is National Dental month and wow, he sure needs one. You know this must hurt...please lend a hand if you can. We will spend over $2,000 on the repair. Thanks Gang!

Hey Gang, we have a Red Alert on the intake front!!! This is little SJ. A Doxie wire mix, this little 2 yr old got overwhelmed at the kill shelter and slated for euthanasia. We rushed to save him and will welcome him this weekend! Who will be the lucky foster that allows him to decompress and re-learn what love is all about?

Hi Gang! Our spokespup Turk is all decked out for the holidays and is back to ask for your support. He is one of our sanctuary diabetics and he has come a long way with the right care. You know, we are seeing more and more diabetic senior doxies coming into DRBC these days.

We love to help, but it is sooo expensive. Yesterday we ordered 18 bottles of insulin at $55 each, ouch, there goes $1,000 🙁.
