First came the Noble Weenies
I’ve always loved dogs. In my early years, I had a German Shepard named Baren then when we moved to Florida we adopted a Westie Mix named Houston. Both had a wonderful, long life and shortly after we adopted Tee-Jay and Mia who both live with my parents now. In college, I started working for an Animal & Bird Hospital and my love for animals continued to grow. I learned how to properly care for pets with long medical histories, how to administer IV’s, how to use feeding tubes, how to properly groom, the list goes on and on. After meeting my now husband, I quickly became a Dog Mom to two quirky dachshunds named Baxter and Winston. Baxter is an old soul, prefers napping on someones lap, and is the most obedient dog I’ve ever met. Winston is the daredevil, loves going on adventures, and will immediately roll on his back when he’s done something wrong. It didn’t take long to fall head over heels for these two weenies, so it only made sense to adopt a THIRD! The boys weren't too thrilled when Dudley came home at only eight weeks but he was mine and what a great addition he has been to our family. After college, life led me through a few different jobs and I ended up working as a VPK Teacher. My husband and I had purchased our dream home on three acres of land and I was actively looking to start a side business from home. All signs pointed to dog boarding! My first client was named West and his family travels to Greece every summer. We had the space indoors and out and who would've known that boarding him was the start to my now full time business. It didn’t take long for news to travel within my school and shortly after I started working part time for a company called Rover who specializes in dog boarding and doggie day care. After working with Rover for 2+ years, I’m so pleased to say that I now have my own at home dog boarding business! I’m forever grateful for the relationships I’ve formed over the years with my clients and it’s so heartwarming that I’m able to help so many people and their pets. Dog boarding has helped myself remain financially stable even after the birth of our son, which was a huge weight lifted off my shoulders seeing that I’ve been working since high school. Now I’m able to care for my son at home, earn an income, help others, and build lasting relationships with people whom I may have never met before.
