It was a hot but good day at the TWA Horse Shows jumper show. Maggie and I had a great group of riders go out today. It was a great barn family affair.

I had 2 riders doing the whole cross rails division:
Emily and Bullet had a good learning experience and finished with a really nice course.
Maria and Inny went out for the first time and it was a great experience and each round got better. They finished with a 6th, 5th and 3rd out of 10 people. I’d say the perfect first outing.

Then I had two riders in puddles:
Jenna and Nora had some fabulous rounds. They brought their A game and won 2 classes and were fourth in the other for champion of the division.
Nicole and Squid had a great first outing. They had some great courses and finished 2nd and fourth and learned a lot. Got some great times coming me thinks.

Then Jade did both novice and open on Inny. They clean swept the novice rider for champion with some great rides. And they put in some great rounds in open for a second, third and fourth.

I am so proud of everyone and congrats on the hard work and great riding. And congrats to Emma, Jame, Cheyenne and Kinsey on some great rides and ribbons!

We’ve had some great weather for lessons and we’ve certainly been taking advantage of it.

A good time to say CC Eventing and Jumpers based out of Sleipnir Stables currently has lesson spots available. I currently have spots available to come join my lesson program. Whether it’s a first time beginner, a rusty re-rider getting back in the swing of things or an experienced rider with show aspirations, we have programs to fit all needs. Opportunities to show and other exciting off property experiences like cross country schooling and trail rides to those interested. However showing is not a requirement to join the lesson program. We currently have a wonderful group of horses for lessons to teach all disciplines and ages. Horsemanship is the number one priority in our program and teaching correct equitation to get the best out of both horse and rider. Spots don’t last forever so make sure to contact today to reserve your spot in this exciting growing program or to set up a farm tour.

And today we did our first classic. Walle and Jade had a great 65 trip with just an unfortunate rail in the jump off. It was still good for 10th out of around 20 people.

I know everyone had a great week and is now exhausted from having too much fun. 😂 lots of learning and some homework to continue working on at home. Excited to come back in July. 💙

Today was definitely a learning day but we still had some great moments including a great .65 trip that ended up being 5th/24. Hoping for a good day tomorrow to finish out the week.

A great first day at Culpeper for the first HITS show of the year. It was Jade and Walle’s first time competing at Culpeper and Walle did not disappoint. They had a great round in the .65s for a 4th out of 16. The first .80s trip started a little rocky but finished nicely and the second .80s trip just had one unlucky rail but was a gorgeous round overall that was much improved over the first one. Excited for the weekend!

Just a sneak peek of a great Saturday down at the Virginia Horse Center Foundation for the Eventing In Virginia jumper derby. A long day that was very worth it. We love going down to these shows and are thankful to Gammon and everyone who makes this possible for our riders. 💙

What a beautiful day to spend at the last A Jump Above show of the season. Maggie and I took another large group out that had riders coming from poles all the way to 2’11. Even getting some ribbons in some big classes. I’m so proud of everyone and can’t wait to see what next show season brings. 💙

Finally catching up after a busy weekend of shows! We had 2 great show days this weekend at the final TWA show of the season and at the A Jump Above schooling show at Great Meadow. I’m so proud of all my riders this weekend! It was a busy and a long one. Can’t wait till the next one!

Super proud trainer moment. Both Claire and Cheyenne had great rounds in their respective classes. Cheyenne and Squid did the child/adult lows classic where they finished 7th. They went down for the modifieds after and finished 5th to clinch reserve champion in the modifieds for the HITS Culpeper series. They also were reserve champion in the 80s for the series despite not having done the 80s since July. Claire and Inny did just the puddles classic today where they finished 11th (and got the prettiest of the green ribbons if I do say so myself). I’m extra proud seeing as they’ve been going through a rough patch. We made some adjustments and had a great round today. So good we skipped the regular class to end on a great note. I’m so proud of these two as they finish their first season doing the rated jumpers. 💙

Late on posting but a wonderful day at Swan Lake on Saturday. Great trips in the 80s for both Cheyenne/Squid and Claire/Inny. Great prep for HITS at the end of the month. We also brought along a little stowaway Naruto. 🐈 a beautiful day to show.

And just like that August HITS is a wrap. Lots of good jumping and lots of learning. So proud of my 2 riders this weekend during the ups and the downs. The big highlights from the week was a successful weekend in the mods for Cheyenne and Squid to include 2 firsts and 1 second and finishing champion. They also had a very successful move up to the adult lows and got a 10th in the classic. Claire and Inny went and had some great rounds in the modifieds and brought home and 2nd and a 6th. Congrats to them and can’t wait till next time. 💙

A long but successful day at BHSA classic. I couldn’t be more proud of how my riders rode.
Jade/Walle - 2 seconds and a fifth in puddles
Cheyenne/Squid - 2 firsts, a second and champion in both the TBs and child/adult
Claire/Inny - First, second, third and reserve in child/adult

And thanks to our awesome barn family for being there for us when we needed it. 🥰 We have the best barn family here.

Great finish to the weekend at Culpeper! So proud of my riders and the improvements made each day. We finished the week with the classic where Cheyenne and Squid finished 2nd and Claire and Inny finished 3rd. They even managed to both pull tri colors with Squid and Cheyenne championing in the 80s and Inny and Claire finishing reserve in the modifieds. Excited for next time!

It’s been a crazy couple of months but it has been a ton of fun along the way. I’m so proud of my students and look forward to seeing what the next couple of months will bring. Exciting things to come! Share what you’re most excited for in the next couple of months!

A little late but these two had a very successful first rated show at Culpeper. Lots of good ribbons and even better lots of learning. Claire and Innception VT finished reserve champion in the .80s and 7th in the classic with some good ribbons in the .90s as well. Cheyenne and Shark Bait were also reserve in the .80s as well as reserve in the .90s with an 8th place finish in the classic. It was such a great weekend and excited for next time and a summer full of fun.
