Meet Ceci and Obi! (Siblings of Odin, Freya, and Thor)

Celia (Ceci)
This beautiful little girl is so ready for a lifetime of adventures. Slim with long legs, playful, agile and full of energy but will sleep by your side or at your feet until time for the next excursion! Will be quiet and watchful until it’s time for her to join the fun. Has not been exposed to other non-canine animals, but will lie and watch birds under a bird feeder without giving chase. Will easily acclimate to any environment where she can express her energy and playfulness. Does not do very well in isolation, feeling like she’s missing the fun. Needs a home with a nice warm bed, plenty of interaction and lots of love!

Oberon (Obi)
This little boy is ready for anything! Slim with long legs, agile, playful and energetic, ready for any adventure! He loves to run. Will wait patiently for your attention, sleeping at your feet with lots of love to give. Has not been exposed to non-canine animals but will lie and watch birds under a bird feeder without giving chase. Will bark at perceived intruders, but is submissive to older dog. Will easily acclimate to any environment where there is a warm bed, adventures to share and kisses to give.

They are both sweet natured, cuddly, social, and respectful of the older dog in their foster home. They have started on sit, stay, potty training and crate training. Cece and Obi have met middle school-aged kids and would do well with proper introductions younger children. They like to play with each other and would do well in homes with the company of other dogs. They are about 4 months old.

We are accepting adoption applications now for Cece and Obi (https://www.rezqdogs.org/adopt)! They will be available for adoption in a couple of weeks after their spay and neuter surgeries. If you are interested in covering the cost ($600-$700 for both) of these important surgeries please donate here: https://www.rezqdogs.org/how-to-help/donate.

Heartfelt thanks from your friends at RezQ Dogs. 💙

✨ Aster’s still waiting for his forever family! ✨

Sweet Aster has been wondering why no one’s applied to adopt him yet – especially since his sister Zinnia found her perfect home a few weeks ago! 💙 Aster is still hoping for his own family to love, and he’s been such a good boy in his foster home in Great Falls, MT.

This 4-5-month-old pup might just be a Border Collie mix, and he's going to be a big boy! With his unique look and adorable bobbed tail, Aster is as sweet as they come. 🐾

Aster is making great strides in his house training—he’s even started asking to go outside to potty! He’s playful, curious, and loves being around people and other dogs, no matter their size. 🐕 Aster is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations, so he’s all set to join his forever family!

His amazing foster family is even willing to help transport him to meet his new people! If you're looking for a playful, affectionate, and loyal companion, Aster could be the one for you! 🐾

Could you be the family he’s waiting for? Reach out if you’d like to meet this special pup or just fill out our adoption application at www.rezqdogs.org/adopt

Remember our five brave Fort Belknap puppies exposed to parvovirus—Freya, Rogue, Storm, Thorin, and Diesel? Thankfully with early intervention and treatment they are all now parvo free!! 🙌 At eight weeks old these tiny, sweet fighters still need some tender loving care to boost their delicate immune systems before they can be spayed and neutered and available for adoption.

We have them on special sensitive stomach food to return them to health but it’s expensive at $55.99 for 13 pounds. 😳 If five people could each buy a bag, we could adequately nourish each of these precious pups for the next week. Please help if you can. 💙 Heartfelt thanks from your friends at RezQ Dogs.

UPDATE 10/20/24: Zinnia was just adopted!

Meet Aster & Zinnia – The Perfect Puppies Waiting for Their Families!

It’s hard to believe these two haven’t found their forever homes yet! Aster and Zinnia are the sweetest, most well-behaved puppies you could ask for. They’re about 4 months old, spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and growing up fast! They’re doing great with their housetraining and love to play with other dogs, big or small.

Their foster home in Great Falls has small dogs, and Aster and Zinnia are gentle and respectful with them. When they’re not chasing toys or enjoying outdoor adventures, these two love to cuddle up for snuggles and soak in all the affection they can get!

It’s just unfathomable that we’ve had no interest in these two amazing puppies. They are everything you could want in a companion – loving, playful, and ready to become your best friend.

We are not looking to adopt them together—each needs a family of their own, where they can flourish and be the center of attention!

They deserve families of their own! Please share and help us find the perfect homes for Aster and Zinnia.

You can fill out our adoption application at www.rezqdogs.org/adopt and if you or someone you know is interested in meeting these wonderful pups, let us know by messaging us here or emailing [email protected]

Meet Thelma & Louise!

Last week, we welcomed two more adorable puppies from Fort Belknap Animal Control—Thelma and Louise! 💕 So far, they’re doing well, and aside from dealing with mange, they look healthy, but I’m keeping a very close eye on them due to their potential parvo exposure.

🐾 Thelma is around 6 months old and most likely a lab mix.
🐾 Louise is about 3-4 months old and likely a pitbull mix.

These two were together when they were picked up and have been inseparable ever since! They’re sweet, outgoing, and desperately want to be lap dogs, which is hard to resist—especially with their adorable personalities. But resist I must, because managing their mange is enough for now (believe me, it’s no fun!).

The good news? Once Thelma and Louise complete their quarantine and recover from mange, they’ll be available for adoption! These sweet girls will be looking for their forever homes, and we know they’ll make the perfect companions. 💙

On a positive note, we received some great news from our vet. Caramel is continuing to improve and will most likely leave the clinic tomorrow! 🎉 And the five little puppies battling parvo are doing okay too! Yesterday, they received the new monoclonal antibodies treatment, and today, they actually ate food for the first time. 🙏

Please keep sending good thoughts and positive energy their way as we continue to fight for their health and recovery! 💙

Urgent Parvo Update: Our 5 Brave Puppies Need Your Positive Thoughts

Our five puppies—Freya, Rogue, Storm, Thorin, and Diesel—came from Fort Belknap Animal Control, where they were kenneled right next to Caramel, who is already fighting parvo. We knew they had been exposed to the deadly virus, and though we were hoping for the best, we’ve been holding our breath. Sadly, last night, one of them showed early signs of illness, and after testing, my heart broke when the result came up positive. By this morning, a few of the others were showing more obvious signs.

All five pups are now at the vet clinic receiving immediate treatment. Thankfully, we caught it early, and we’re hopeful that with quick intervention, they’ll pull through. But we need your help to cover the costs of their care. Donations of any size will go directly toward their treatment and make a huge difference in their fight for survival.

On a brighter note, when I dropped the puppies off, I was able to check on Caramel. She’s showing real improvement! She’s finally able to eat and drink a little, and she’s keeping everything down. She’ll be staying at the clinic for at least one more day to continue her recovery.

Please send your love and positive thoughts to these little fighters. We’re doing everything we can, but we rely on your support to make sure they get the care they need. Thank you so much for being part of their journey. 💙

💔 Caramel Needs Your Help! 💔

On Thursday, we pulled Caramel, a sweet 2-year-old husky mix, from Fort Belknap Animal Control. She was one of 22 dogs recently taken in by them, and we knew her options were extremely limited. In fact, Caramel was almost euthanized on the spot because of an advanced case of mange. She’s missing most of her coat and doesn’t look good, but that didn’t stop us. We said yes immediately—following our creed of providing hope for those with none.

Being an adult, we didn’t worry too much about her health beyond her mange. Her lack of energy and appetite seemed like stress from yet another strange environment. But imagine our shock and heartbreak when Caramel suddenly showed signs of parvo, exploding with bloody diarrhea. The positive test result left us devastated—she’s not the typical case as parvo doesn't often strike adult dogs, even our vet was surprised.

Despite RezQ Dogs providing free vaccination clinics at Fort Belknap for years, Caramel is now fighting for her life. We didn’t expect this, but we’re committed to giving her every chance. She’s getting the medical care she needs, but we need help to cover the costs of her treatment.

We’re also deeply concerned about the puppies we pulled from Animal Control the same day as Caramel. They were kenneled next to her for days and may have been exposed to parvo as well. Please keep them in your thoughts and send good vibes their way. There are 5 puppies in one litter and 2 older, unrelated pups that came in with Caramel, and we’re doing everything we can to ensure their health and safety.

Caramel’s been through so much already—almost euthanized, battling mange, and now fighting parvo. But she’s a fighter, and we believe in her. She deserves to survive and know love. Please, if you can, donate to help Caramel and share her story. Together, we can give her hope and a chance at life. 🐾💛

🌟 Meet Sage: A Resilient Senior Girl Seeking Her Forever Home 🌟

Eight years ago, Sage first came into our care—a brave girl who faced the challenge of losing one of her front legs after an accident. But that never slowed her down! She quickly bounced back and found a loving home, where she thrived. Three years later, Sage needed a new family, and she was adopted by a wonderful gentleman who adored her. Sadly, he has recently passed away, and his family, as much as they love her, cannot take her in. They turned to us to ensure that Sage lands safely once again.

That’s what we do at RezQ Dogs—we’re here for our dogs no matter what, and Sage is no exception.

Here’s what her current caretaker has to say about this incredible 10-year-old husky/shepherd mix:

Sage absolutely loves people! And especially anyone who wants to give her scratches! She is sweet, loving, easy to have around and will do absolutely anything for a treat. She is approximately ten years old, probably husky/shepherd mix, spayed female. She is three legged, but has never let that stop her from exploring her world. She has definitely slowed down in recent years though. We just recently put her on arthritis medication ($50 per month) which has helped tremendously and she is building her stamina again. She would do well in a home where she could take very short sniff walks, or just snooze and cuddle. She was an excellent companion to my father and would be a great addition for someone who is retired or works from home. We have been working very hard on crate training and she is doing fairly well with it.

She is pretty dog selective/reactive. With careful introduction and time to get used to other mellow dogs, she has done great though. And she seems to prefer the company of another familiar dog when left alone. She has lived with my elderly father for five years or so, and was rarely if ever left alone, so she does have some separation anxiety. That manifests as her getting into the garbage, but I have not seen her do damage to the home. She does extremely well in the car and loves to go for rides. She prefers to go along and sit in a car than be left at home. She can jump into a regular vehicle, but needs a ramp (which would come with her) if she has to load into a pickup or vehicle with more clearance. She was recently groomed and she did well. She was a bit nervous so the groomer just put her under a fan rather than using a blow dryer.

I don’t believe she would do well with cats or other small pets, but I haven’t seen her around them. I have also never seen her around very small children. I think she would be great, but don’t know if an unknowing child tried to take her food, what she would do. She is tolerant of me reaching for her food, but somewhat guards her food if my dog tries to take it.

She is extremely well behaved potty-trained and can go many hours without asking to go outside. She is current on all of her shots and in a recent vet visit, he said she was in very good health with the exception of the arthritis."

Sage is currently being fostered in the Missoula area, and she’s looking for a calm, loving home where she can spend her golden years feeling safe and adored. She comes with her own ramp for car rides, loves being around people, and would do best in a home without cats or small children.

Sage’s story is one of resilience and love, and now she’s searching for that perfect family to cherish her again. Can you help Sage find her forever home? 🐾💛

If you’re interested in adopting or fostering Sage, please fill out our adoption application at www.rezqdogs.org/adopt or email us at [email protected]! We’ll be there to support her every step of the way, just like we always have.

Zinnia and Aster are still waiting for their forever homes! 💔

We can’t believe it, but we've had zero inquiries for these two beautiful pups. At just 3-4 months old, they’re still so young, and it breaks our hearts to think they might grow up without ever knowing the love of their own family. They’re happy and well cared for in their foster home, but they deserve more. They deserve a place where they belong—forever. 🏡

Zinnia and Aster will most likely grow into large dogs, and though we’re not sure of their breed mix, we’re guessing they’ve got some Border Collie in them, and maybe even some Heeler. But more than anything, they’re just wonderful pups—sweet, cuddly, and great with other dogs, even the little ones! 🐾

They are spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, and microchipped. They’re ready to go to their forever homes—all they need is someone to say “yes.”

Right now, we’re facing an overwhelming situation. There are 17 dogs at animal control who desperately need help. If we can’t find homes for the dogs already in our care, like Zinnia and Aster, we won’t be able to step in for the others. And while Zinnia and Aster are safe for now, so many others aren’t… Puppies and dogs who might not make it if we can’t find space. 💔

Every shelter and rescue is struggling. The need is beyond what any of us can handle alone, but together we can save lives. If you’re considering adoption, please take another look at Zinnia and Aster. They are sweet, loyal, and would love nothing more than to grow up surrounded by the warmth of a family who loves them.

To adopt Zinnia or Aster, please visit www.rezqdogs.org/adopt today. If you can’t adopt, but are willing to foster, you can also help save lives. Fill out our foster application at www.rezqdogs.org/foster to make a difference! ❤️

Please like, comment, and share this post so more people can see Zinnia and Aster’s story and help us find them the loving homes they deserve. 🐶💕

🌸 Meet Aster & Zinnia! 🌸
These adorable 3-month-old pups are looking for their forever homes! 💖 We’re not quite sure of their breed mix, but they might be Border Collie mixes and are expected to grow into large, beautiful dogs—with personalities to match!

Aster (boy) is a playful pup with a cute naturally bobbed tail, and Zinnia (girl) is his equally sweet sister. They’re currently being fostered in Great Falls, MT, where they’re learning all about being great companions. Both are puppy pad trained and doing awesome with house training, even asking to go potty outside! 🐾

These playful pups love spending time with people and get along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes. 🐶 Both Aster and Zinnia are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped—ready to bloom in their new homes! 🌼🌸

To adopt one of these sweet pups, please fill out an adoption application at www.rezqdogs.org/adopt.

Help these cuties find their forever homes by sharing this post, liking, and leaving a comment! The more people who see them, the better their chances of finding a loving family.
