I'm told calling it 'prep' is more professional than my prefered BPFW (which stands for Bum, Pads, F***y, W***y) though i have refered to it in the past as the Sani-pedi too. Nails, pads, and sanitary areas are all part of a groom.

More mini Schnauzer fun today with a "suprise" practical assessment. The pet trim for the Schnauzer is done with clippers and scissors which softens the coat texture, the breed is customarily handstripped which maintains it's much harsher, wirey coat.

This seems to be becoming a signature groom! Slightly different though with the St Tropez cut which is similar to the Miami but with a shorter trim to the main body. Our model today is the middle size of the poodle family, the Miniature Poodle. The Royal Kennel Club describes it as a "glamorous, intelligent breed descended from European duck hunters". They should be under 38 cm (15 inches) but not under 28cm (11 inches) in height to the shoulder.

A little handstripping today. I love a handstrip! Here we have a Wire haired Dachshund.

A native German breed it is still used for tracking wounded game and going to ground after badgers and rabbits. The Royal Kennel Club suggests the Dachshund has a life span of "over 12 years".

Oodle-doodle kinda day part 3. It has been over a decade since I groomed a poodle 😳 This was fun. They came in in long Teddy cuts but we decided (with the owners consent if course) to have a little fun. This is refered to as a Miami cut. Sadly another forgotten 'before' shot.
