A Horse Spirit Healing Journey To Costa Rica
Letitia Watson is a 30-year equestrian professional and the visionary and keeper of the Horse Spirit Healing mission to: “create meaningful and joyful connection between horses and humans”. Letitia's passion for bringing horses powerful, unconditional love and empowerment to others, blossomed through her lifelong sharing of profound relationships with
her own horses. Letitia credits her horses for guiding her life path of learning and teaching Compassionate Horsemanship to those who are drawn to connecting with horses in a profound and meaningful way. She sees herself as the facilitator and assistant of her horses, and they as the Masters, she their student and assistant. On January 1, 2020, Letitia embarked on fulfilling her long-held visions of combining the beautiful and sacred land of Costa Rica with the innate healing gifts of horses. For 25 years, Letitia’s passion, for the simple pure life found in Costa Rica, inspired her to rejuvenate from her busy ranch for 1 to 3 months a year. Every year she returned to the same little fishing village of Cabuya, a documented healing vortex called a “Blue Zone”, on the Nicoya Peninsula. On the dawn of 2020, Letitia landed in Costa Rica, not to retreat this time, but to create her vision of encouraging others to retreat and rejuvenate in the sacred healing land of Costa Rica, while immersed in Horse Spirit Healing. Though Letita loved Cabuya, she was determined to explore Costa Rica to make sure there was not another place that called her home. She rented a little house in Cabuya first and then embarked on a 30 day journey to explore the country. She followed her curiosity, trusting that she would be guided to the right place and the right people to launch her vision. Letitia packed all her belongings into her rental suv, intent on investigating further, if she found ‘home’ somewhere along her journey. After a month of exploring and meeting lovely horse people, Letitia was drawn back to her little village of Cabuya, just as she had been for the last 25 years. The day after Letitia returned, she found her special herd of five horses, horses she had been searching for for months. Within weeks she manifested a spectacular 400 acre, seaside farm perfect to launch her vision. She knew then that she had been called “home’ to the very place she had been called for decades. Letitia named the Costa Rica finca Resonance Ranch and she and her horses began the journey of sharing the Horse Spirit Healing vision that lives in her heart. Letitia offers immersive retreats to inspire joy, healing and uncovering one’s unique Heart Vision. Resonance Ranch also offers free community horse projects to the local children, elders and families. Day long horse experiences and riding adventures are also part of the many activities of Resonance Ranch. Letitia welcomes you to join her in an evolving journey to experience the touch of a horse’s heart with Horse Spirit Healing. At the age of eight, Letitia manifested her first pony into her life, named Trigger. Letitia was the only one in her family to have any interest in horses and was left on her own, with best friend Trigger, to figure out how to get along while exploring the rugged green mountains of Vermont, USA. Trigger, a feisty haflinger, was quite a character and taught Letitia, through literal hard knocks and trial and error, to understand the world of horses through the heart and eyes of horse. Twenty five years into her professional career of working with horses, Letitia heeded the urging of her horses to understand even more of their healing capacities, so they could impact the humans they were touching even more. During a 3 week travel, exploring the west of the United States, Letitia was guided to meet Melisa Pearce of Touched By a Horse to learn more about her decades of ground breaking, healing work with horses and her EGCM certification program called Equine Gestalt Coaching Method. Melisa’s pivoting work combines practical coaching tools with impactful and effective Gestalt therapeutic methods with the understanding and facilitation of horses innate healing abilities. The EGC method resonated deeply with Letitia and she signed up for the 2 year certification program after spending the morning with Melisa on her Colorado ranch. As fate would have it, Letitia was able to join a training beginning the very next day and Letitia launched into a profound two year journey of healing and learning to become a certified Equine Gestalt Coach. As a certified Equine Gestalt coach, Letitia and her herd effectively assist people to heal from trauma and overcome limiting beliefs and other life challenges so they may access joy and their own heart visions.
