A satisfying de-shed treatment and trim on this beautiful boy. Charlie is one of the best boys. Beautiful, polite and sweet as can be. When the bandana comes out, he knows he's done and gives the BEST butt wiggles. He made my day today!

This little sweetheart is Sophie, whom I have been grooming since she was 12 weeks old. Now, she is over a year old and has become a wonderful dog for grooming, despite being a bit squirmy while trimming her face. She is such a little doll, and I adore her. Stubby's Dog Wash & Grooming Salon

Now that all the graduation stuff is over we can get into the swing of summer festivities!
This is Ruby and she got a full summer deshed and a trim up. Did you know that removing undercoat can help your dog regulate their body temp? A double coated dog has a built in insulation system. Their top coat can help protect them from the hot summer sun aiding in the prevention of sunburn and heat stroke. That thick cottony undercoat helps trap cool air against the skin. Shaving these double coated dogs will not help them shed less or keep them cool. Quite the opposite in fact. A good deshed treatment is the best thing you can do for your double coated dog to keep them cooler all summer long!

I got to hang out with a few of my favorite friends the other day. Meet, Sandy (Cocker spaniel blonde,), Aspen (Cocker Spaniel) and, Harley (yorkie) all from different families. I enjoy seeing them so much. They each have their own unique personalities. Sandy is enthusiastic and just happy to be a part of everything the salon has to offer. As long as I'm near him. If I step away he gets very anxious and cries for me in his kennel. Very loudly. He is my best boy. Aspen is shy but compliant with almost everything. She is a very gentle little girl and finds ways to sneak in little kisses throughout the grooming process. And then there is little, Harley. She is the very definition of a Terrier. She is so sweet and inviting and wagging her tail, drawing you in, but don't touch her paws. You have been warned. 😂 I love my job and all the ways it nourishes my soul.

I love what I do and I am so lucky to be in an industry where it's different every day and there is always an opportunity to learn and grow as a pet stylist.
