The first week of the Sept/Oct Indy Dog and Disc league scores are below. Weather was a bit warm and the grass a bit dry. Hoping for some rain before next week.

September - October IDDC League starts this Wednesday
Indy Dog and Disc Club is continuing our new version of league that we believe will help our teams work toward success in future frisbee competitions. This round of league is not affiliated with any organization but will use the UpDog Throw and Go field format and scoring. It is hoped that this session will build on the skills from the previous sessions. This session will also be four weeks in length and each team receives two weekly rounds. We will use the UpDog format of 60 seconds with a count down timer. We will count all in bounds catches. This session will emulate an UpDog Toss and Catch Competition but will not be turned in for UpDog points.
The best part is that if you are unable to make one of the weekly Wednesday sessions, we will allow make up sessions. You can make up on any of the scheduled Wednesday sessions or you can try to negotiate a different makeup time with Sheridan and/or Robin. You can run as many make up rounds as you need on any given day but we would not recommend trying to get all 8 league rounds in on one date. AND if you are not happy with any previous week scores, we are allowing up to 2 mulligan runs during the league session.
Scores will be tabulated and published for all weeks with ribbons for placements at the end of the four weeks. Each League round will be tabulated for special awards at the end of the season. Each league session subsequent to this will be developed to build on the skills established as each session progresses.

The final runs for the Indy Dog and Disc Club Aug-Sept league are completed. Below are the final placements with those that had mulligans applied. Red crossed out numbers are the runs replaced by the higher mulligan run.
In the Handler Division, Cindy/Bruno came in first followed by Dan/Kyra and then Dan/Kenji. Logan/Flynn finished a respectable fourth to cap off their return to the sport. New team Chris/Dash were fifth followed by another new team Taylor/Perry. Julie/Nellie the puppy are still petitioning the judges to include scores for bug and squirrel chasing.
In the Master Division Joyce/Java came in first followed by Kaitlyn/Scout. Kaitlyn/Spirit the puppy came in third. Joyce/Wednesday were not able to complete all their rounds due to Wednesday's pad issues.

Current standings in the Indy Dog and Disc Club league. Since we had some weather issues and summer vacations affecting the number of runs teams were able to get in, we will be extending the league one more week. This will allow teams to get caught up and take their one or two mulligan rounds.
This evening we ran 31 rounds. Thanks to everyone for being prepared and to Joyce for loan of the judge's chair.
In the Handler divivion Cynthia/Bruno are hanging on to the lead. They have their mulligan scores subtracted already (red crossed out scores). Dan/Kyra are in second followed by Dan/Kenji in third. If we could give handler running points, Dan would definitely be the leader thanks to Kenji. Logan/Flynn are in fourth with one of their mulligan rounds in. Chris/Dash are in fifth followed closely by Taylor/Perry. Julie/Nelli the puppy are progressing well and catch percentage is definitely rising.
Kaitlyn/Scout lead the handler division followed by Kaitlyn/Spirit...however Joyce/Java or Joyce/Wednesday may give them a run for their placement once they get more make up rounds in.
Hope to see everyone next Wednesday, Sept 11 at 5:30 for the catch up week.

Mother nature really decided to test those showing up for last night's IDDC league. When we arrived it was sunny, hot and humid. Within the hour, mother nature changed her mind making it cooler and throwing very strong gusty winds and rain at us. We did get in some runs...none of which were wind aided for scoring!!! Below is the current standings....and since Joyce decided to rejoin us with whippets Wednesday and Java, we now have enough players to divide out the Judges group from the Masters. We are glad to see Joyce and her clan back with us.
We will try to create as many make up opportunities as possible to stay tuned....

Indy Dog and Disc Club will be hosting an UpDog event in Columbus, Indiana at the Goode's Farm Property. We will play some non-agility games - Throw N Go, Time Warp, 4 Way Play, and Spaced Out and some agility cross-over games - Frizgility and 7 Up. We will also have on site sign up for Frizgility level 2 for those qualified.
Be sure you have an UpDog team number if you want your points to be recorded in the UpDog database, however, please note that it is not necessary to have an UpDog team number to register and play.

Because of the extreme heat coming this Tuesday and Wednesday- we’re moving league this week to Thursday at 6:00pm. Let us know if that’s crimping your style and we’ll meet you when you can - or we can run make ups at Ruth’s event too.

Great news!!! We are approved to add Frizgility Level 2 to our games for the Horsin' Around at the Goodestock Ranch event August 31-September 1. Since the on line entry form is already active and in use, entry will be on site only. Price for level 2 will be $10. To enter level 2 Frizgility, be sure to check that you have met the move up requirements for Level 1 Frizgility.
Teams must LEVEL UP from Level 1 to play Level 2. To level up you must earn a GOLD UP in Frizgility 1! If you are close to the needed 600 points in Frizgility 1 but not quite there, be sure to bring your current total from the UpDog Challenge website and we can add any scores achieved at the event.

Mother nature has been much kinder to us this league session. Below is the updated scores through week 3. Congratulations to Dan/Kyra for holding on to first place in the HANDLER division. Logan/Flynn retained their second place spot followed closely by third place Dan/Kenji. Cynthia/Bruno are in fourth and still have one more make up to go so may move up more in the standings. Taylor/Perry are finding their consistency. New team Chris/Dash still have a make up score to add so may move up as well.
Robin/Rigby and Robin/Mac hold the top two spots in MASTER. Kaitlyn/Scout and Kaitlyn had to miss this week so may well move up in the rankings when those make up scores are added later this month.
