If you are coming to the event this weekend from Jacksonville and Orlando areas please give yourself plenty of time. They will be some road closures on I-4 and 275 on Saturday. Drive safe and we can’t wait to see you all in your best Country Chic attire. Cowboy boots and hats welcomed! 🤠

I’m Kya! I’m 2.5 years old and full of energy! I am a sweet and curious girl who will become your shadow very quickly. I can be very independent, but if you’re home, you’re my best friend! If you’re eating, I want to eat too; if you’re napping, I’m napping with you; if you go out, I want to go too! I love car and bike rides. I quickly learn my person’s or family schedule and adjust/adhere to it.

I have been living with my foster mom and brother (11 years old). I do well with children and adults, I adjust to other dogs after about 10 minutes. I get excited to see other people, dogs, cats, lizards, birds and will try to jump on them in a playful manner. I am a good leash walker and only pull when I see the previously mentioned animals, however, my foster mom has trained me to “move on”. I am a very loving dog, very affectionate and snuggly!

I am a good eater, but sometimes I eat and drink too quickly which leads me to tummy issues. (My foster mom gives me a Pepcid every morning and that seems to help.) I am potty trained (even know how to use a litter box) and crate trained. I love my toys, I also love to chew on my foster brothers small toys so those have to be kept away from me. I also love to snuggle with the dirty laundry…so maybe keep that out of my reach too!

🌟 ADOPT BIG BRUTUS 🌟

Big Brutus is approx. 7-year-old, 51 lb. bulldog who has really come out of his shell during his time in rescue. When he first arrived, he wasn’t sure how to accept love – but now he’s a certified couch snuggler who thinks being your personal recliner is the best job in the world.

🐶 About Brutus:
• Good with dogs (still learning how to play)
• No cats 🚫
• Kids unknown
• Potty trained (may mark here and there)
• Doesn’t like crates but does fine alone for
a few hours
• Low/moderate energy – naps are a
favorite pastime
• Loves car rides & being on furniture
• Leash training is a work in progress

Brutus has been neutered, fully vetted, and had cherry eye surgery. His skin is still healing, but otherwise he’s healthy and ready for his forever home.

He’s the kind of dog who wants to be with you, especially if you’re working from home – he’ll be your loyal sidekick all day long. He doesn’t need a fenced yard and would do just fine in an apartment or condo, as long as he has his person to lean on. 🛋️🐾

Happy Friday! Reilly is soaking up some sunshine while patiently waiting for her forever family! ❤️

Reilly is a total character, and we mean that in the best way. She took a day or two to warm up to her foster siblings, but now she keeps a watchful eye on their playtime like the fun police she is! She’d do well with another dog, as long as they’re more couch potato than party animal.

This quirky girl does not do mornings and absolutely hates being woken up (relatable, right?). She has a bit of arthritis in her hips, so she may limp a little after napping, but it doesn’t slow her down when it matters. Reilly loves her creature comforts – she’s a big fan of furniture, especially if you’re already in the seat, and prefers to sleep at the foot of your bed. Bonus: she snores like a grown man.

Reilly has some strong opinions about food and bones – she’s very protective of them and will snap if she feels threatened, which is why she’s not suitable for homes with kids under 10. But don’t let her tough girl act fool you – once she warms up to you, she’s all about the snuggles, kisses, and affection. She just wants to be loved, spoiled, and treated like the princess she is!

Reilly may have her quirks, but she’s got a big heart, a strong spirit, and so much love to give. Could you be her happily-ever-after?

🎉🐾 Welcome, Frank! 🐾🎉

This handsome boy joined the FBR family over the weekend! Frank is dog-friendly, kid-approved (cats are still a mystery 😉), and full of playful energy. He loves his toys and is already keeping his foster family entertained.

Frank has had surgery for kidney stones, so he’ll need to stay on a special vet diet for life. We can’t wait to share more about him as he settles into his foster home. 💙

With heavy hearts, we share that sweet Bryson crossed the rainbow bridge early this morning. Last night, he was rushed to the ER with lethargy and difficulty breathing. Despite being placed on oxygen and receiving around-the-clock care his little body just couldn’t hold on.

Our hearts are with his foster mom, who adored him and gave him so much love. Please keep her in your thoughts during this heartbreaking and unexpected loss. This is the hardest part of rescue, and we are devastated. 💔🐾
