Retired Racehorse project 2024 in the books! This year I had the privilege of taking sale horse, Earnest Intent (JC Intent) who is has completely lived up to his show name. Not only is he a trainer’s horse (aka pushed to last on the ride list or skipped) but also the second of my competition horses so he deserves nothing but credit for coming out with really impressive rounds considering his lack of show experience and time. 2/2 of entered recognized events prior this season were both scratches due to life and weather so his 4 year old came out into the Makeover and said ‘hold my beer’ as he showed us his class, confidence, and talent in all aspects. He received one of the top XC scores out of all the competitors, too! Day 1 in eventing I discovered a dressage warm up tactic that didn’t work for him and unfortunately that mistake cost us a ribbon this time as both his jump scores were high and otherwise would’ve put us in the top! Lesson learned on day 2 for dressage where we fixed the warm up and he put in his best quality tests yet! A testament to the top quality horse he is and an exciting start to his exciting future developing as a sport horse! Thanks to everyone who has rooted for us and supported us along the way ❤️Ernie❤️
