I spy a parasite! Tick season is in full throttle! Here's how we manage it without using harmful pesticides: a supplement added to food all year round, natural collars worn March til October (ours are from Bug Off), spray used before walks in areas we know ticks are prevalent, brushing after every walk and a tick remover for any we find on the dogs.

Dogs and recreational drugs don't mix! Poor Frida ended up at the vet last night after her owner took her for a walk at Ashton Court. The vet thinks she ate drugs, probably left from the festival there at the weekend.
We tend to avoid the area for a good couple of weeks afterwards, and we wait for a good downpour of rain to wash away all the toxic substances left behind. Honestly, we'd prefer it if nature was left for nature lovers rather than party goers!
Fortunately, Frida survived and enjoyed a walk with us in the woods today.
