Calling all equine vets

Please do take 10 minutes to complete this survey that seeks your views about existing guidelines for the responsible use of antibiotics in horses. The survey is a part of the “European Network for Optimization of Veterinary Antimicrobial Treatment” (ENOVAT), funded by the EU COST Action.

"We are interested in the opinions of veterinarians who currently treat horses and are currently practicing in European or European-affiliated countries so that we can gather information on your views on existing antibiotic guidelines and what to include in future guidelines. Your participation will help improve the quality of future equine antibiotic use guidelines, with the aim to help optimize veterinary antibiotic use. Participation is voluntary, anonymous and should only take 10 minutes to complete."

HELP US TO HELP THE HORSES IN UKRAINE

FEEVA raises funds to rescue Ukrainian horses from starvation.

The campaign is run in cooperation with the Ukrainian Equestrian Charity Foundation (UECF) and it will help fund the purchase and distribution of locally produced quality hay for horses in Ukraine.
All raised funds will be used to purchase and distribute hay to horses in the most vulnerable regions close to war zones, where in addition to severe economic issues there are also military actions-caused obstacles preventing harvesting and transporting hay. Horses also don't have access to grazing due to the war.

Please help us to help the horses in Ukraine.
Any amount, no matter how large or small, is important.

FEEVA GA 2022 in Rome

On the 27th of October 2022, the FEEVA GA took place in the Ergife Palace Hotel.
31 participants were present, representing 16 European Equine Veterinary Associations as well as UEVP, FEI, and FVE.

The assembly started with FEEVA different Working Groups updates, FEEVA finances, communications, and updates about FEI and FVE activities. Fruitful discussions followed the guest speakers' presentations on the topics "Changes in Equine Reproduction: Have they been good or bad for the Horse Industry?" and "Recruitment and retention in the Equine Veterinary Profession".
A big thank you to all the speakers, the member's delegates and the guests!

And thank you SIVE for their incredible hosting, interesting congress, and, of course, for all the networking opportunities provided.
