Always welcome and happy for dog friendly F&B ❤️ Brought @pringlepaws along, though technically she’s the one that brought (fetched) us there 😂 There’s actually vegetarian options in their menu, good for non meat eaters!
@pringlepaws said she’ll bring her partner back, so I guess it’s a stamp of approval from a high standard tastebud human 😂

Suddenly, there’s so many things I want to post about Cookie. But somehow I feel like if I don’t post anything, time will stop for us, the last post would be where our last activity were, and there’ll be never-ending time left with Cookie. Wanted to post something funny but somehow the start of the caption is something sad 🤡
When we first headed to the CT scan appointment, I told @twomanylegs I want to do this funny edit when I have the scan’s result. We weren’t expecting something this bad then, to be able to joke about it. But I decided to do it now anyway, because there’ll be lots of time to mope around when it comes.
We should laugh and smile while we still can 😆
So last year on Cookie’s 10th birthday, I did a “huge” (in terms of budget) party for him. Because to me, 5th, 10th and 15th birthdays would be huge milestones. Sooooo I also engaged a videographer for the party because I wanted the memories and I really loved the surprise video she did for us during our photoshoot with her from before! Honestly, it made me tear when I saw the video 🥹
Really no regret having this arranged even though it ate a bulk of the budget. I think I would regret not having it done instead.

Such a hot day, Jingle could barely walk far before she needed her cooling vest, and then she wanted to be in the stroller soon after. But managed to clock some distance!

Random day to Holland village for ice cream for humans and randomly decided to go Botanic Gardens for a walk! Ended up with around 5km walk with slippers 😅

We headed to HV for humans’ ice cream before deciding to go Botanic Gardens for a walk since both of us haven’t been there since forever. It was quite a good walk because it’s not very crowded even though it’s a weekend. Only got slightly more crowds coming in as we were leaving 😌
DIY Subcut Session 6

After the really traumatising (more for me) last session, it was really really hard for me to poke him again. Especially he jumped when I tried the first attempt. Then he was very sensitive to the pulling of his skin, kept turning back and tried to move 😭 hands were shaking again and I was almost tearing again. Took really really long for me to muster the courage for 2nd attempt and @samforest_loolim told me not to force myself. She can drive us to emergency vet to do it if I need to 😢
This does not get better as time goes. I think it'll only get worse as Cookie is realising ice cream = Subcut = pain 😩
On a brighter note, made my own ice cream after the last one was finished. Today he had the first tub I made, watermelon with mango and yoghurt 😍

NOT a good session at all today. He felt pain during the first attempt in, screamed and turned to snap at me 😭 I feel like we're back to zero with my comfort level in doing this.
Finally mustered my courage for 2nd try, he still jumped but thankfully didn't react as bad 😢 took a few calls to him before he went back to focusing on the ice cream 😔
And this reminded me how sucky this whole situation is.

Cookie was still very happy to see @samforest_loolim when she came, and even sat on his bed himself the moment he saw her come in the room. Good association for ice cream with her! He still doesn't know about the needle and the poking, so that's good 😜
Accidentally gave him 100ml more than he should have because we talked and forgot to look out for the fluid 😅
And yes, he had Subcut even on his gotcha day 😢

Took me awhile to poke him again. Because the first attempt, he twitched and I got scared. Second attempt, he jumped 😱 instant heat all over my body, heart racing even more. Thankfully he didn't cry and went back to the ice cream instantly.
Went back to a lower position because of the leaking issue last session (higher up position), and it definitely worked better when it's at a lower position. And that he's more comfortable to be on sitting position than lying down.

I didn't cry today! But was still scared to death and shaking. Thankfully Cookie did soooooo well 😭🙏
Managed to muster my courage and poke in quickly today. Tried a higher up position nearer to the neck this time, but the fluid kept leaking out after we were done with blood 😭 took awhile to stop. So maybe we need to lower the position back next round.

Major thanks to @samforest_loolim for coming over to guide me, help me with handling Cookie, be there to assure me and basically everything or I confirm wouldn't have been able to do it eventually.
Will the 2nd time be easier? Definitely no. I'm still shaking thinking about the moment. But thankfully Cookie didn't cry thanks to treat 🙏
