It’s been a froggie sort of day!

I took the kids to a reptile expo this morning and they each picked a frog.

I was already starting to setup a new tank for my white tree frog so I went ahead and did that today too because I wanted to reuse the drainage layer and substrate.

So I set up three tanks in one day!

I set up a 5 gallon for the new Pac-Man, a 10 gallon for the baby whites, and a 20 gallon for mine.

However when I pulled the old tank apart, I discovered a surprise! My male WTF us alive! I hadn’t seen him for a year so I thought he might have died and gotten cleaned up by the cleanup crew bc their old tank was so jungle-y.

Now that leaves me with a slight dilemma bc you’re supposed to have at least 30 gallons for two frogs. So I guess I’ll be making him his own tank here soon, I just didn’t have quite enough stuff to pull off four tanks in one day 😂😂😂

Huge rescape is complete!!

I combined my 20 gallon and 40 gallon tanks bc I’d never liked the scape in the 40. I’d used the same type of rocks and wood in both and I bought a few more rocks as well and now it’s nice and full. I still want to add some stem for variety along the back but I’m pleased with how it turn out!

New aquascaping tools as mine have vanished one by one over the last few years. Gearing up for a much overdue rescape of this 40 gallon. I’d let it get taken over by moss which hurt the other plants.

So I’ve pulled out all the moss and done a bunch of extra water changes to clean up the resulting mess, and now I’m just feeding the plants and trying to shake a migraine series so I can get to the actual rescaping part.

Crowley has the coolest eyes…

I’ve been working on many things with my writing (see ) and nothing much has happened in the last year or so. But I’m getting ready to rescape my 40 gallon fish tank and as a result I may also rescape two five gallon beta tanks, my kid’s 10 gallon and make new vivariums for my leopard gecko and whites tree frog.

Crowley seems perfectly content in his 10 gallon full of pothos moving from one dirt cavity to the next. He may need some additional substrate to burrow in as his is a tad compacted now but otherwise, I think he’s set.

Maybe I’ll get very ambitious and put up some new videos on my YouTube channel 😂

Slightly obsessed with my new fish. Received a male/female pair of apistogramma macmasteri and 28 (4 extra!) black neons (Hyphessobrycon herbertaxelrodi) from today. No DOAs, all colored up and are within the hour. So far so good! Will update.

Crowley finally croaked! I mean… called 😂 I suspected he was male bc of his size now that he’s two and unlikely to grow much more. I think it’s possible he was calling sooner but with super loud parakeets around the corner it got covered up.
