Who remembers the 10 Day Stay at Home Dog Trick Challenge I did in 2020?

A lady came into our shop at The Love of Dog Boutique today. She said, "This is going to sound weird, but I feel like I know you from the dog trick challenge you did during COVID. Thank you for doing that for so many people."

She totally made my day and I have to admit it kinda brought a tear to my eye.

I hope the lady who came in our shop today sees this, so she knows how much that meant to me.

It's not on my website anymore since it was redesigned, but I've been thinking about trying to figure out how to re-publish it. I know i still have the videos somewhere.

Would any of you be interested in that? Just like in 2020, there would be no charge for it.

Many of you know that Paul(me) and my wife Lynne have operate a part-time pop-up shop, The Love of Dog Boutique. We offer apparel, gifts, and more for dog lovers.

Our amazing Dog Trainer Amy recently finished working with Piper and her human. Two of the skills they worked on were not going through the door without permission and putting on her nose collar.

George's owner will be making a cross-country move soon, but George wouldn't only not get in the car, but wouldn't go near the car. George is a very big boy, so lifting him into the car was a big "not going to happen".

Fast forward a few weeks and he'll now happily get in the car with little to no prompting and he did it on his speed with no unnecessary averse methods like shock collars, prong collars, or choke chains. We make training fun for dogs, not fearful.

I'm looking to schedule at least 2 or 3 midsize-large events per month for one of our businesses.

Romy, Xena, and Dozer are all showing off their Place and Stay skills while their Mom walks away and out of their sight. I am very happy to see their owners work paying off and having fun doing it.

We are also working on these skills when a visitor comes ringing the doorbell. I'd say we're about 85% there on that one.

Daisy is learning to walk on a loose leash and focus on her person in areas with lots of things going on around her, like at this local park with a dog park, tennis courts, and a busy walking/running track.
