Rick is a sweetheart who is a good listener and very playful. Morty is a sweet mackerel tabby who aims to please and is very playful. It's Tuesday and you know what that means, it's ! Today we are highlighting Tofte (fka Pumbaa) who was adopted a little over a year ago.
"Pumbaa, now known as Tofte (named after the town on the North Shore) is doing really well. He is a gentle soul. All of the kids on the block stop by to say hello and get some love. We are currently enrolled in the Therapy Dog preparation class at the Humane Society and are close to passing the level 5 obedience class - it is mostly me who needs to schedule more practice time to finish the last couple of items in Level 5. I have enclosed two photos - one on Christmas night when he was so tired he fell asleep on his new toys and the second one where he is looking outside from the dining room window. He is tall enough he just puts his head on the window to see outside. I am so lucky to have him in my life."

We have another story to share with everyone! Today we are giving an update on Adzuki and Zucchini (fka Pop Tart and Toaster Strudel).
"I adopted Adzuki in August as a companion for my elder “grampa” kitty. She totally charmed him and brought him new playful energy. Sadly, he suddenly died on Halloween. Adzuki was distraught. I knew she needed a new companion right away. I looked up her sister on TCPR and amazingly, she was still available! The girls re-bonded as soon as I brought Zucchini home, and are active play partners and adorable snugglers. It’s a joy to have them in my life 🥹🖤🤍🖤"

‼️Ares needs your help‼️
Ares has unfortunately been through a lot lately. He was found to have severe stomatitis and needed almost all of his back teeth removed to reduce inflammation. He just completed his second round of dental work, but that isn't all. He also just had a polyp removed from his throat.
That is a lot of medical care for one cat to go through! Ares, though has been a trooper through it all! He will be posted for adoption once he heals and all of this pain will all be worth it when he is happy, healthy, and in his forever home.
All of these procedures add up in cost, and we could use your help to raise money to help pay for them.

Volunteers needed!
We are looking for passionate volunteers to help out at adoption events. Volunteers will help with event set up and clean up, merchandise sales, answering questions about the rescue and adoptable pets, and running games and activities for fundraising. Events will typically be 2-4 hours long occurring 1-2 times per month during weekends or weekday evenings. The event types include Petco Adoption Events, Brewery Adoption Events, and other Community Events.

Meeny and Miney are the cutest of buddies and are still looking for their forever home❤️
They are lively grey tabby kittens who are wonderful with other cats, and curious but not afraid of dogs. They would do well with kids as long as they respect their boundaries. They have a lot of energy, love playing with wand toys and catnip-filled balls, and enjoy watching birds and squirrels from the window.

It's the best day of the week, it's again! Today we are giving you an update on Luna who was adopted in June of 2020.
"Life with Luna is progressing great - she is such a little dream, we love her! We keep her pretty busy with walks, hikes, trips to the dog park, playdates with other doggie friends and recently added kayaking. We have been surprised by how mellow she is - and she loves taking long naps during the day. She also is so sweet and affectionate and loves to snuggle all times of the day and night.
We enrolled in Hippie Dog obedience school. She has picked up basic obedience really well - is quite good at sit, down, touch, and watch me. We continue to work on commands to ignore major distractions (mostly squirrels), stay, come when called, and heel. She is great on the leash and walks with a gentle lead. I will probably continue obedience training using guidance online after we complete with hippie dog. We have started to work on separation anxiety and while she cries and barks a little when left alone, she usually settles down after a few minutes.
Overall she is the light of my life and I could not be more thrilled with how the last month has gone. We will keep you updated on future progress and please let me know if there is additional information I can provide!

We have one last update for Give to the Max Day! Because of your donations we were able to get Miss Piggy the dental work that she needed, and now she lives her best life learning to trust her humans more everyday: "When I first got her in January she would have nothing to do with humans. She was terrified and would not come near me or my daughter. She would flinch or cower whenever we came near or touched her. She had horrible, rotting teeth and awful breath from the infection and decay. TCPR raised enough money to perform the tooth extraction and most of her teeth were removed. The vet said the majority of them just fell out and/or were being held in by tarter. 🙁 After I had her for a few months I felt comfortable enough to get her groomed. When I went to pick her up from the groomer, I couldn’t even recognize her. She was transformed into this adorable little dog. I’ve now had her 10 months and she is my little buddy. She is constantly at my side and cuddles with me at night. And she has started to wag her tail. Especially when we go for walks. We have another amazing story of what a difference your donations have made in an animal's life. Because of your donations in 2022 we were able to get Ollie the surgery that he needed, and now he lives his best life with his forever family who gave us this update: "Ollie is our foster fail and he is absolutely adored in our house. He has been such a fast learner when it comes to training, and the biggest cuddle bug. He absolutely loves every person that he meets, sometimes a little too much (we're still working on that). He spends most of his time sleeping with short spirts of energy to play with his toys before he passes out again. He LOVES his toys so much, but we keep a very close eye on him when he plays and are very selective with the toys we give him. He is not the biggest fan of car rides but has learned that they can lead to fun things, like pup cups, going to the lake, and playing with his friends at daycare. All four of them had been found abandoned in Iowa. The babies needed lots of love and attention. Ruby was such a good mama, so we started calling her Mama Ruby. Ruby’s babies were adopted, but she had constant ear issues. For a year, we brought her to doctor and dermatologist appointments, but nothing helped her ear infections. Ruby finally had surgery to remove her ear canal and they also ended up taking 13 of her teeth. Through it all, Ruby was a ROCKSTAR. When it came time to finally put her up for adoption, we couldn’t give her up after everything we had been through with her. We officially adopted her. Ruby loves to play nonstop. She brings all of her toys upstairs every night and leaves them next to our bed. Then, she brings them back downstairs every morning. She loves her two cat brothers and dog. She likes to help you when you’re working on the computer by walking back and forth, then plopping down on it. Ruby loves to snuggle. She greets all visitors with love and purrs. We received a photo of Claire from her Foster Mom and our hearts melted, so much so that we wanted to meet her in person. To our surprise Winnie and Claire bonded immediately and Winnie was back to her happy playful self again. The two of them have been inseparable since. Shortly after agreeing to adopt Claire, we discovered she needed a fairly major leg surgery which the rescue center wonderfully provided. It took Claire a while to fully recover, but now there’s no stopping her! Claire loves to go on walks, chase rabbits around the yard, and loves most of all to wrestle her big sister Winnie. Claire has been such an incredible addition to our family, and we love her to no end. We’d like to thank ALL involved who helped us find Claire and got her the medical help she needed to fully recover. We are TRULY blessed!" La familia Madrigal is coming to TCPR, and they need fosters! These 7 four-week-old puppies were abandoned in a laundry basket in Arkansas one morning. But they found their miracle at one of our shelter partners who reached out to see if we can help. Though we are extremely low on fosters and fostering puppies in the MN winter can be a challenge… we couldn’t abandon these babies, so we said YES! But now we need your help! Mirabel, Luisa, Pepa, Dolores, Julieta, Bruno and Antonio will be arriving in MN on Sunday February 13th and will need foster homes to go to! Ideally they would be fostered in pairs or trios. If you have another young, dog friendly pup in your home, that would work too! We are guessing they are hound mixes and should be around 9 weeks old when they arrive. TCPR provides all of the necessary supplies and covers the vetting costs while fostering! You just need to provide a warm, loving home and transport to our partner vetting clinics in Minneapolis! !! We interrupt your Give to the Max Day feed to bring you an important announcement !! It’s time for PUPPIES! Check out TCPR alum Pato testing out his new skills as a foster dad. We think these might be the cutest. babies. ever. These four pups came in from a reservation in South Dakota in late October. TCPR took them in as 5-day-old bottle babies, requiring round-the-clock feedings and care from dedicated volunteers. They’ve had quite the glow up and a huge appetite now that they’ve graduated to kibble! 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 $𝟑𝟎 𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐛𝐮𝐲𝐬 𝐚 𝐛𝐚𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐩𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐨𝐫 𝐤𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐭, 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐞𝐬. And boy, do we have a lot of growing babies currently in rescue!
