Mia is currently our longest-term resident dog here at the ARL, with almost 230 days spent within these kennel walls. Last week, she got to experience a day out through our Dog's Day Out Program!

Hi, I’m Re*****on.

I was surrendered after my father started to cause fights with me in the home, so our owner thought it was best to separate us. Since I was the younger of the two, he chose to bring me to Blue Chip. When I arrived I was a young guy, only a year & a half old. Now I’m 5.

I love walks, food, toys, car rides, running, giving hugs, giving kisses, and protecting my family. Due to my time at the shelter, I have very strong bonds with my volunteers, they are my current family. I can be wary of new humans and need time to trust them before feeling fully comfortable. I am not a fan of cats, vet visits, baths, and would do best in an adult only home. I would do best as the only animal in my home. I am house and crate trained, as well as leash trained I have completed a lot of training with the shelter’s trainer and have been doing very well, he even said he would continue my training with my new family - whenever they should come!

Here’s the situation: This good boy has been with us for practically his entire life, since he was a puppy. He also fathered some puppies, who have all since been adopted, leaving him behind 😞

We want to make sure our longest dog resident finds his forever home - and soon! Rocky came to us on July 25, 2023 - and we want to find his new owner(s) before he hits the one year mark in our care.

We’re looking for a foster or adopter for Nala 💗🙏 She’s incredibly people friendly but will need to be kept separate from other animals.

She is diabetic and will need injections to maintain her levels. She is blind but navigates well. She will sit when you tell her. She is such a sweet girl that loves to sit by you and cuddle . Her adoption fee is fully sponsored by Amanda !

Meet Pepper!

She came to us in March 2017, she has been here 2,534 days and is our longest resident here at True Friends.

Pepper is just under 9 years old but don't let that fool you she is the is the perfect mix of energetic and sweet! Pepper has spent the majority of her life at the shelter and is often overlooked. She enjoys long walks, playing, and affection. What more could you ask for? Pepper is microchipped, UTD on shots, and spayed! Pepper would do best in a house without kids, dogs or cats after such a long stay at the shelter and she would so love if she could have your full attention! Pepper is also completely housebroken, walks well on a leash and just loves to be outdoors.
